DO NOT ADD HIGHLIGHTS/SHADING TO YOUR CHARACTERS REF SHEETS! Not only is it unnecessary, but the whole point of a ref sheet is to get the default colors of the character so that the artist can then shade them in accordance with the lighting of the setting they’re drawing said character in.
