Haha. We're making this today for a gathering. It's my grandma's "secret recipe." Bags of frozen meatballs in the slow cooker with equal parts jars of grape jelly & BBQ sauce covering them (usually 2-3 jars/bottles each). It's always a party favorite.

So funny I recognized it. One of our favorite memories. I assume you're a Rick Steves devotee? At his suggestion, we stood outside our b&b to ask fellow "people of the book" to join us for this wine flight. We're still friends with the couple that took us up on the offer. Glad it's still there.

Seriously, we played a game against UC Davis (?!) at 2:30 pm on September 12. The high in that day was 100. The game wasn't even on broadcast tv; it was streaming only. There was NO reason to be playing that before 6:30 pm when most the stadium would be in the shade.

One thing is that game scheduling in August and September should not be based on tv ratings, but on participant and fan safety. There is no reason for a day game in Dallas before at least mid-September. We delay games for lightning, we should do the same for excessive heat.

Bonus costumes from the Ragin' Cajun feature twirler, who debuted a pink 2 piece for breast cancer awareness. The pink costume & her usual red are by one of my favorite twirl costume designers who really burst onto the American scene in the last few years all the way from Sweden: Wahlberg Creations.

Lovely blonde twirler in a bubble gum pink 2 piece costume with a fleur de lid outlined in darker pink stones. There is also some flame motif stoning in pink shades on the skirt and top.

Twirl Mom Report Week 5: Huge congrats to the Golden Gopher twirlers, whose team won the Little Brown Jug at home for the 1st time since 1977. They looked great too. I particularly like the shiny gold costume by EA Black. She also has a 2-piece with Goldy on the pack. Such a fun costume.

So it hasn't rained for something like 75 days, but this afternoon we got about 15 minutes of heavy rain this afternoon. Yay! But power briefly went out twice then came back on. But just now power went out & eta for restoration is 1:30 am. Why does power go out with a little rain.

Honestly don't watch much WNBA. I feel like a traitor to my gender, but I only have so much sports watching bandwidth & just can't get into it. But my husband & I turned in the Wings game and we're watching 2nd half. The repeated, long, questionable review of ordinary fouls made us lose interest.
