I often contemplate whether I would accept a lower salary for more stability. Considering I'm about to reach one year without a job, I'm currently leaning towards yes.

Didn't realize Jared Gaffe was starting this game.

It still blows my mind that after 9 years of Switch & Switch 2, there's been no official release of Chrono Trigger. I mean, it was on Nintendo DS and even Wii U. Still seems absurd we can play Chrono Cross on Switch but not Chrono Trigger.

"We don't need FDA regulation -- leave safety to us," said food companies whose products are being recalled as they poison and kill people.

The first Dungeon Crawler Carl book was released in 2020, and @mattdinniman.bsky.social is writing the ninth and final(?) book now... which is good, since I just finished book 8. Grateful for the work ethic and dedication of authors like Matt, @brandonsanderson.com , and more who follow through.

Occasionally I forget about your previous life... and then I see statements like this. 😅

The BlizzCon coverage at Wowhead was simply abysmal this year. It so shows that they let Perculia and so many writers go. I'd love to find a replacement.

Heard rumors of partnerships. I wouldn't be surprised if this one was with Nexon.

Holy crap. RTS content from Blizzard. I could cry.

The theme of this BlizzCon so far is: "It's time for Blizzard to stop holding back and playing it safe."

OMG is this the survival game???

Loving what I'm seeing... but admittedly this is also making me low key bummed I didn't get the Blizzard job I was up for recently. One day, maybe...

Looking forward to watching QuestWatch tomorrow. If the game doesn't take place at HIGH NOON, they missed an opportunity.

I'm not sure what hit me harder... the fact that a game just got announced that won't be out for four years... or just the simple fact that this is the first time we are actually talking about the 30s. Starcraft looks fantastic. I really look forward to seeing progress at every BlizzCon.

I started the Final Fantasy Resonance demo last night. I finished it this morning. All available content, I think. Yeah... this one scratches the itch.

Acquisition of Square Enix and Capcom. More unrealistic: Announces intention publicly to give me lots of money to make games for them.

Doug Hill @dhstom.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

I'm sure they would love to develop original ideas... but in 2026, discoverability and user acquisition are just insane. The market is flooded and the platforms are a crapshoot. I don't blame them for using any advantage they can get to help them succeed.

We got Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia in NA, but never Terranigma. There were fan translations though, which is almost certainly what you played.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang makes a lot of sense, but I was really surprised to see Eternal Sunshine. I thought Marvel had forgotten about that one.

Back over 15 years ago in the crazy early days of Twitter, I got one of the coolest random followers that gave me an amazing bragging right: I'm being followed by a legitimate Disney Princess. Tonight that got an upgrade. So happy to watch as Susan Egan took her rightful place as a Disney Legend.

I do get it, despite being a massive fan of the series since the first one. To each their own. (Also I just really love that scene from Batman Returns. Except the part where Bruce has no idea if/when Selina will show up and is looking for her. That's hardly Batman.)

Which ones have you played?
