www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyyw... easily one of the best pieces of fiction i've consumed for the year & arguably in the 2020s. The sort of work that reminds you never to doubt where your ideas can go, and rules can be bent & downright broken. A masterclass in every form. Wish i still did AMVs

Genuinely saddened by 2xko's cease of support. This was the best attempt at replicating Arc Sys 2.5D visuals and they managed to not only come close but have an identity that was not anime. Hicham Habchi's visual foundation along with the other creators on board made it really cool.

An intense film spanning setpiece that does not let go till the credits roll. Anxiety inducing in its realism. Garland & Mendoza team up to deliver action without forcing convoluted plots & forced character humour or even arcs. Boiling everything down to its essence. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JER0...

Despite the film's flaws, I appreciate the ambitious big swings they took with this sequel and the series as a whole. Brilliant cinematography at times, kinetic editing and a tone that harkens to adventures like the Last of Us/ Made in Abyss. Looking forward to Bone Temple. #oscarseasons #filmsky

Tech bros want to create that level of asset out of nothing SO BAD that they are willing to destroy the planet to retain that ability. When the true value is picking up a pencil and following your heart and devoting your mind and body to a craft that moves people. But nah too much work.

the issue is that by making things "easier for us" we make ourselves less relevant with every use. I rather gatekeep. JRR Tolkien wrote Lord of the Rings while in WW2 because he liked languages and experienced the extremes of good and evil. It ended up becoming a multi BILLION $ IP

Easily the best film this year. I said Legend of Hiei 2 was the animated film to beat, and CSM -Reze said "Hold my grenade." The cinematography alone blew me away far less the insane action. And I knew this arc, I read it twice, and it still floored me. Next arcs will nuts youtu.be/d1n552v1ng0

What I find amusing about this "Street Fighter is supposed to goofy" rhetoric. Is that people ignore the nuanced balance that anime has established between grounded, eloquent sincerity and bombastic, balls to wall ultra violence. Like the two can't exist. CSM Reze is great reminder, u can do both.

End of an Era. Despite its flaws, Final Reckoning delivers a masterclass in stunts and setpieces. I especially note the effects of sequential mini arc plot structure for large ensembles like this. Some of the cinematography is going to be in my head rent free too. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9Mg...
