One month, 31 favorite horror movies. Not in any particular order. I’m not going to call Ravenous good by any stretch of the imagination but I love it. You pair Robert Carlyle with a spin on Wendigo mythology and I’m here for it any day, plus I’m a sucker for folk horror.

I'm so exhausted I painted like 6-8 bricks today as part of a background and that's about all I got done. Trying to remind myself that fatigue impacted productivity is not a personal failing. We've just been convinced the only option is ever increasing production.

I recommend people read this to get a sense of the president's grave cognitive impairment. Trump is either unwilling or unable (or maybe both) to answer the questions he's actually asked, so he just rants and raves while the interviewers do their best to provide structure to his random brain firings

It sucks how much we have to change our lives because of the abysmal behavior of others that's just allowed for some unknown reason. And if we don't, or something happens even when we do, it's still our fault. Infuriating.

but in any case, no organization should ignore that level of systemic rot. Women/femmes/trans folk, and younger frat boys in some cases, should not have to have a mental list of safe locations and people and HOPE someone else there does the right thing if/when something bad happens.

My school also, famously, featured the baseball team getting a girl removed from the xc/track team because they took pictures of her while she was dancing at a strip club. Pictures they shared widely. They went to her work and SHE got in trouble.

Everyone knew the baseball players guy away with everything, because the school fed into the majors. I offered to drive my roommates home if they got in trouble. (I didn't party. I hunt out with the animation nerds)

Trigger warning for SA but when I was in college, women and femmes learned VERY QUICKLY which houses to avoid on frat row. We weren't a huge school and it was mostly a commuter college, but everyone knew which house had the dangerous parties. You avoided the baseball players entirely.

We've hit 30 degree swing season. 50s in the am, high 80s, maybe 90s during the day, back down at night (if you're lucky) it's a pain to dress for.
