My most recent client has an actual art exhibit featuring lots of well-known Swedish painters and sculptors throughout their offices. But I think this creation is a masterpiece in its own right.

Dogwatching my in-laws’ french bulldog this week. She has lots of personality, zero training or discipline, and a contrarian mindset, where she will go out of her way to do the opposite of what I tell her. Like a frenchie, I suppose.

I bought an LTT Commuter Backpack about a year ago. It's a little pricey compared to run-of-the-mill generic backpacks, but it comes with a ton of clever storage compartments, good padding for the computer, and impressively rain resistant.

I found a solid alternative to Google Translate, and it even translates to LinkedIn Speak, GenZ and Office Jargon, which I feel is going to be very useful. translate.kagi.com
Example of translation.

English: "I was honestly going to deliver on that project you were paying me for, but instead I was working on this really cool pet project that I've been spending all my waking hours on recently."

LinkedIn Speak: "I’ve been deeply immersed in a high-impact passion project lately, pushing the boundaries of my creative bandwidth. While this has shifted the timeline for our current collaboration, the insights and innovation I’m gaining are truly transformative. Grateful for the journey and the opportunity to prioritize growth and disruptive thinking! 🚀✨ #GrowthMindset #Innovation #PassionProject #Transparency"

My mileage varies a little. Nowhere does it say "you appear to have a strong distrust of AI advice", but at least it clearly respects my wishes for short to-the-point answers.
Decision-making & risk

* Pragmatic, risk-aware: You want explicit warnings when something is risky or not best practice, and prefer feasibility checks over clever workarounds.
* Evidence-focused: You expect uncertainty to be flagged. You value transparency about assumptions and limits.

Information preferences

* Brevity first: You prefer short, specific answers and will request details if needed.
* Operational clarity: You like step-by-step instructions for “how-to” tasks.
* No fluff: You avoid emojis unless explicitly requested and dislike long-form discussion by default.

Communication style

* Direct and professional: You prefer plain language and straightforward recommendations.
* Control & autonomy: You want the option to dive deeper on your terms rather than being flooded up front.

Working style

* Outcome-oriented: You prioritize actionable, practical guidance over theory.
* Standards-driven: You care about best practices and clean boundaries (e.g., feasibility, reasonableness).

Lol, chess.com. I’m flattered, but my game might (generously) be 500 Elo. At 2150, I’d be going around winning local chess tournaments. :)
Chess.com rates my game against the bot at 2150 Elo, which is about 5x my skill level. This was not an extraordinary game, there are no brilliant moves, not even a ”best” move. I even blundered twice.
