I'm trying to teach small Milord to play #frisbee. Ems used to let him play, but never allowed him to be the one who brought it back. He did stop it. It's right in front of him. He's just not over enthralled with bringing it back. We got 1 return today. Very weird to be out there without her.

I'm with you! Ours have always said Meow (ever since storybooks in the '80s). ...of course, that is with the exception of Miss Kleo, whose vocabulary also runs to: 'Eh-ow' (hello); 'Ee-ow' (Kleo); 'Ee-uh' (here); 'Now'; & 'No'. Pic of clever girl in question:

One happy & knackered boy after his first swimming session at #CharlesfortClinic We were surprised because for the boy who *adores* any puddle/drain/ditch, he was truly terrified at first, but Ida was great with him & he's already developed so much confidence. He'll be fighting fit in no time!

Happy #Caturday This week, Miss Kleo - who's had us heart-in-mouth since what the vet says was a spinal stroke 11 days ago, but is seemingly turning a corner. Seen here snuggling with her Daddy this morning. Aside from descents are now careful, lose patience, randomly launch herself she's okay.

4 Apr 2016 2 days old as a runt on foster with her family (her Mammy would reject her 2 days later) & on her 10th birthday today. When we first met her, 2 day old Fionnula was 133g & 23.5cm long (fun fact: that's 1.5cm longer than my elder surviving son at birth) & we weren't sure she'd survive.

Have said it before, will say it again: Writing is pure magic to me! You folks in academia & sciences, I don't know how you do it. I'm just sat here a pleased as punch gibbering wreck that I remembered the header didn't count for word count & I wasn't going to lose another Friday night editting!

The minus 9 was because I remembered a heading didn't count towards the absolute word limit of 1,650.

There's a lady in our town has set up this wee women's group. It's just once a month to get together & do something that is different from what's available otherwise, & where we can see what we want to do as we go along. Today we did art - paints and pastels & I drew this card, which I love.

3 months ago today we were hit in an RTA. This is how my hands are at rest today. I'm getting better overall at stilling them if I actively concentrate really hard, but it means I'm left with less brain for anything else & a permanent headache from the effort. It's worse the more tired I get.

Tell you what - 40mins of that is a bit like 2hrs of sword. Definitely feeling it in the bits of arms I can still feel. Slow progress, but it was no mean feat to get it out the tub & have the. Managed an egg, a sphere, & something like a cube (though that's gonna take some doing to get right).

The girls are looking well in their full winter feathers. I had a sit in the deckchair & spouse started putting the sieving layers in for our new compost system.

In 'Ridiculous things that have me upset' this last week or so: Even my offhand is so swollen I've had to move my wedding rings over one (can't even switch to the French side because the swelling is worse there). 😮‍💨
