A monochrome image of a deserted church building. The building is a plain rectangular wooden building with a steeple rising from the front end of the roof ridge. It looks like the steeple at one time may have housed a bell. The sloped roof is covered in light colored shingles, and there is a large hole in the roof. At one time the horizontal wood siding was painted white, but the paint is almost weathered away. There are six tall windows evenly spaced across the side of the building. The building rests on concrete blocks; 13 of them are evenly spaced down the side of the structure. The front of the church is on the right side of the image. There is an awning and concrete steps with a metal hand rail. The deep blue sky reads as black in the monochrome image. The churchyard is close cut grass. There is a row of trees behind the church.

I got a new lens today a #Nikon Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S. I think I’m going to like it. This is a shot of my front porch. Shooting pueblo style architecture never gets old. #NewMexico #photography #photographersofbluesky

Columbine in the courtyard, and a volunteer in the walkway between the house and carport. When you see columbine in the forest by a mountain stream, it seems so delicate. I never expected one to grow up through gravel in a high traffic area. These are straight from the camera with no finishing.

All day long I have intended to post one of my redwood pictures for #BlueSkyArtShow #lightandshadow. Then I looked out at #Pucuris.

Here’s a second image of the Sagebrush Inn in Taos. The hotel was closed due to the pandemic, but they continued to light the farolitos which were left up after Christmas. The lighted building exterior with dark windows and an empty parking lot made for unique photo opportunity. #photography #taos

Since the libertarian party first became a force in American politics, it has been doomed to being fascist. If you reduce the government to nothing but an army and a police force, all that’s left is a police state. Even though I have believed this for years, seeing it come to fruition is horrifying.
