“The films rolled, and re-rolled.” As they once did. A quote from SHOWCASE by Sarah Singleton, first published in NEMONYMOUS TWO (2002) This story hit even harder in my distant future’s re-reading of it today!

“They warned us repeatedly about sex and about drugs but no-one ever mentioned logarithms.” — Simon Kewin in EARTHWORKS first published in NEMONYMOUS TWO (2002) A classic story, I feel, and, in hindsight, an inspiring message for our times today. @simonkewin.co.uk

Impulsively, in 2014, I had this slight caricature made of me in a slot-machine booth on an empty Clacton pier (it was too early in the day for ordinary weekday visitors to be walking on the pier in October)… It cost me two pound coins which I now feel rather guilty about.

“Far down the hall, Sophie dreamed that there was a tiny door in her elbow, open a crack, through which the wind blew, blowing on her heart.” — Little, Big (1981) by John Crowley I wonder if ‘hall’ is a printer’s typo for ‘hill’?

My recent photo — within Colchester Castle (a place close to Clacton) — showed a thoughtful, inspirational vision of Sigma IX fortuitously configured, as it turns out, like our own Moon. Only such instinct can verify the truth of hope? @countbinface.bsky.social
