Its working out the same, just slightly more cost effective on the Israeli side. Biden is the one who kept declaring, then moving, red lines.

Okay so you are going with “there was a big enough coalition of people the dems did not propperly work with to win”
100
Derek @dezza.bsky.social · 13/09/2026
Your choices: Admit DSA is not that influential and the Dem party lost the election or Claim DSA is powerful enough to cost the election and dems failed to appease them and lost

Little crazy to think the USA is the most divided. Half those countries have sizable communist parties

Very funny to link to an article from 2024 that says “DSA destined for irrelevance after disavowing AOC” Listen its a democratic org, theyre getting out ahead of this and having the damn conversations

Also like… its put on by haymarket books. Sometimes academics with fringe ideas write books that are, at their core, socialist theorizing. Ppl have no media literacy so obviously they cannot accept something being “impractical” but still worth discussing
010
Derek @dezza.bsky.social · 07/09/2026
Absolutely. The leftist movement cannot be all academics, but you can’t be mad when the leftist book confrence includes academics writing about stuff “because it doesn’t speak to the working class writ large” Not everything is about immediate electoral gains

He started his campaign with that “halal-flation” ad, showing how the permits formed a secondary rent seeking market.

It would be crazy for the DSA to endorse candidates that are not supported by their members nor share their policy.

Hasan Piker never passed antigay legislation, supported mass deportation or voter disenfranchisement. Your only idea of defending democracy was being anti trump, something it to cheney until 2021 when she thought he was done to do

Derek @dezza.bsky.social · 10/08/2026
What bothers “people” but the people are mainly just tv pundits and internet posters. Liz Cheney is a republican who helped enact trump policies.

Okay and screwed by the dems also and republicans win twice

Derek @dezza.bsky.social · 07/08/2026
Its a huge role but the point is you’re not winning votes by ignoring economic insecurity, and youre letting the conversation be dominated by ingrained beliefs that take long term education rather than solutions you can win on

I found this video and its follow up cover it pretty well, and black people in my life tend to agree, black elders put a lot of trust in the establishment because of the establishments long term engagement with them youtu.be/eb-twzyyusk?...

Its not a messaging or policy issue. South Carolina aside, black voters are consistently very progressive. Its a demonstrated trust and commitment issue. Warren (not significantly younger, nor blacker) doesn’t have those ties with black communities, especially outside her own state either.

Derek @dezza.bsky.social · 05/08/2026
Sure, but this is a much larger and substantial gap. I also question if state government and county executive will carry the same boost that congressional experience does
000
Derek @dezza.bsky.social · 05/08/2026
Im not going to speak like theres not work to be done, but for nonwhite communities polling doesn’t signify the problem is ideology or identifying problems, but long term trust and the ability to win or enact policy. Ex Primary to gen Mamdani shot up +37 with black voters, against adams and cuomo

Derek @dezza.bsky.social · 05/08/2026
Here for the same old breakdown… 🫩 - Black voters is real, but much less when factoring age, suggesting long built trust is a larger factor - The underperformance with other minorities is not nearly as pronounced, even less with age - Having a college education doesnt make you not working class
