Wow, this series has come a long way. Pure fun... and some legit stealth gameplay.

Emil Pagliarulo @dezinuh.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

At lunch today, I jumped into Control Resonant for 5 minutes and set the difficulty down... just so I could beat the game's first boss, the Artist, and move on. I just can't anymore with early, hard bosses. I'm too old. But I do feel weird about it. #ControlResonant

Nah, not edgy. Just reality. Lol Bound to happen eventually with the sheer volume of games I consume.

When you hope that one character doesn't make it past the prologue/tutorial because you don't like their voice acting... 😬

God, what a weird time to be reading through @greatdismal.bsky.social's Sprawl Trilogy. Just finished a re-read of Neuromancer, almost done with Count Zero (never read it before). What must have seemed cool and impossible in the 80s in regards to AI now seems terrifying, prescient... and 100% true.

You want to talk about a dev team who understood the assignment. Single player is basically a re-telling of the first movie, start to finish, with you as Michael Myers... complete with full Dr. Loomis cutscenes and voiceovers. Murder sim bliss. ❤️ @halloweentvg.bsky.social

Oh, nah, not meant to diminish at all. I consider both high compliments. Dawnwalker definitely has its own (very strong) identity. It also borrows from those other games just enough that players are familiar, comfortable, and entertained.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is: * An awesome new IP and gameplay experience? * Vampire Witcher? * Assassin's Creed: Carpathia? YES #TheBloodOfDawnwalker

The Star Warsy-ness of Zero Company is great, but it is not WHY the game is great. Usually I want a Star Wars version of a game. In the case of Zero Company, I want its awesome combat system in an un-Star Wars setting. Like, say, the trenches of WWI, or 1880s Montana.

Had an appointment with a new PCP today, just to establish care. When the nurse told me my weight I wanted to ask for an attorney. I've weighed over 300 pounds 3 times in my life, so I consider myself something of an obesity expert. Ain't no way that's happening again. Time for a blood sacrifice.

I would love a follow! Thank you! My wife says I'm not a jerk, so I'll have to trust her judgment. 🙃 And how cool is it that one of the other responders of your post is someone I worked with over 20 years ago? Hey @dorianhart.bsky.social!

My new little buddy and I are conducting some important Fallout research. Will a human, when exposed to excessive amounts of solar radiation, become a ghoul? Let's find out!

My non-gamer wifey finally decided to give gaming a try. Her daughter gave her suggestions - great cozy games that were probably her speed. One after another, she was bored to tears. Yesterday she discovered Diablo IV. Oh, it's all over now. 😂

Replaying the Shadowrun Trilogy. Almost done with Dragonfall, psyched to move onto Hong Kong. Such a great series. I feel lucky these games even exist. #Shadowrun

Felt pretty seemlessly integrated into it, as far as lore/story. Supergirl is a much smaller story, more personal. As such, it's a really good character piece.

041

Emil Pagliarulo @dezinuh.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Finally saw Supergirl. So fun! Of course the seat controls were broken, the soda was flat, and they didn't have Sno-Caps (subconsciously recommened by @gailsimone.bsky.social), which saddened both my stepdaughter and me. Still worth it! More Alcock, Mamoa and Ridley plz.

Beat @007game.ioi.dk. Incredible experience, a fantastic Bond game AND movie all in one. Feels like the culmination of a journey I first started with IO Interactive 26 years ago with Hitman: Codename 47. It's pretty rare I'm inspired both as a player and a dev, but IO is a rare studio.

We finally covered the ugly gap in the built-in shelving (where a 2 year-old stereo system used to live) with a tapestry that makes our basement Hobbit hole super meta in the best possible way. Bonus - cozy doggo getaway! (And yeah, cable management... I know...)

Wow. Spider-Noir is: * A perfect showcase for Nic Cage, who CRUSHES it * Great noir * One of the best Spider-Man projects in years * Hands down the absolute best superhero project Sony's ever done, alongside the animated "Spider-Verse" films And yes, watch it in black & white!

(2/2) Logging in, I was shocked to find: * The UI is now completely scalable * The lifetime subscription I bought almost 20 years ago is still active * Characters from a decade ago are still there. * There are even more classes -Beorning! Mariner!

🧵(1/2) Decided to go back to LOTRO (@officiallotro.bsky.social) again - how is this 19-year old game better now than ever?? I forgot how much of a love letter to Tolkien this game is. I mean, it's a living, breathing map of Middle Earth. The literary Middle Earth. Unarguably, the richest version.

Rogue Trader - I love this game so much. So much. Strikes the perfect action/adventure/RPG balance for me. Hardcore af, great tactical combat, likeable AND useful companions. I 100% wish the ship combat existed as its own game. I want more. MORE. Dark Heresy cometh...
