For Indigenous People's day, the Microsoft image is of the foaming mouth of a rock monster. Or maybe it's thick globs of brown oatmeal in it's maw.

A Human and a Maraquoi on a first date in Sparks in Absalom Station. #starfinder. Greyscale and shading added. Panel 3 is done unless I find I need to make changes as the page comes together.

Cartoon of A Human and a Maraquoi in Sparks in Absalom Station. On a first date. They are floating in Zero Gee. The signage is right side up and upside down because in zero gee there is no up down orientation. I have a few air plants in the panel. Kofi the human has body paints. Since Tavquan the Maraquoi hears through his fur, he wears as little as possible to hear better. His particular gender is know for it's mottled fur.

Black thick and thin lines and a lot more detail. Someday I'll feel comfortable adding areas of black, but today is not that day. Changed Kofi's leg, being really bent didn't look right after a while.

Blue lines add the clothes, hair, expressions, details about the room. Maraquoi hear with their fur so I put him in cargo shorts and a mesh vest.

Blocking out the panel with Daz3d. This changed from scribble layout because I decided to establish Tvaquan and his compound eyes and give more info about the setting and the characters. Moved the dialogue balloons to fit with the less interesting parts of the space.

The layout scribble with dialogue. Focus is on Kofi since the dialogue was about eyes.

Panel 2. No breakdown since most of it a duplicate of panel 1

Greyscale and shading added. It's done unless revisions are needed in the context of subsequent panels.

Next is thick and thin black lines and more details. I loved blue prints in shop class, I see the influence. Hair is so hard for me to render. Byrne/Austin made it seem so easy.

then I make a blue line based on the 3d, with more details.

I use Daz3d to map out the scene and keep the characters consistent.

Years later, Google Street view is invented and I find I drew the only house on the street that is obscured on purpose so I cannot recreate the shot. It's annoying. It's kind of spooky.

Aliens on a hoverboard series. A #Starfinder Maraquoi on a hoverboard in Absalom Station. There are slight, physiological differences between the 7 sexes. Sires often have complex, dappled coloring patterns in their fur. I defined him as a Qsha, sky-sire.

IMHO, the purpose of a democrat minority leader is to rally the troops and resist the republicans every step of the way. Jefferies is not coordinating push back against republicans in a visible way. "At least we are not republicans" is not a good rallying call.

Cartoon illustration of one of my cyberpunk characters but the background didn't turn out very cyberpunky. Conner is the computer nerd of the crew, so it's non sequitur to depict him as hit man. #DTPYSAUG26 @theposearchives.bsky.social bsky.app/profile/thep...

Trying the technique of blending the highlights and shadows instead of leaving them cell shading hard edge. Conner is the computer nerd of the crew, so it's non sequitur to depict him as hit man.

A 1st level boss fight space in the Dead Ends of Fog Town in Absalom Station. The tubes are Difficult Terrain. The broken glass is Hazardous Terrain. There is a gate to be lifted or someone could squeeze through the vents and open it. Leprous Barathu fragments will attack. #starfinder

Thanks to @theposearchives.bsky.social for the pose practice. This time it's a slightly portly pretty boy doing the 2nd set, the hands on knees pose. The fuzzy shading is better this time. bsky.app/profile/thep...

Thanks to @theposearchives.bsky.social for the pose practice. I normally illustrate pretty boys so I wanted to see how I did with a more mature face, with mixed results. Again with the airbrushed shading instead of cell shading. There are parts I like, most not so much.

Man with severe face, has intricate red body paints on his upper body and face. Mohawk.
