i know a lot of people are like "live for spite!!!" and i 100% support that if that's what keeps you going but if it doesn't work for you you can live for a variety of reasons, including "read book that isn't out yet", "love", "step on a crunchy leaf", "look at the river", "pat a creature" etc

Another hot tip for saving money: You can refill your Micron (or similar) pens when they dry up. There are several YouTube videos, but basically pop the end off, shake out the sponge-tube, drip whatever ink you like into the sponge slowly until it's wet through, then re-assemble. Voila! Like new!

Photo of a Micron pen with the end popped off, a sort of sponge-tube half hanging out of it, along with two bottles of black ink and a ceramic knife.

Ahoy! The scammers are here! I woke up to this old chestnut, and since Bluesky is pretty new, I thought it might be helpful to show y'all how this one works. A scammer will reach out for work, and it'll be really vague - a piece of his kid, or suddenly four, it doesn't matter, he doesn't care.

crazy for me to drop on here but I hope someone will say they feel the same- I just got hit with *oh* I feel like being trans is the first time I have felt sexy, before I thought I felt that way but it was more like I felt like I had sex appeal which is very different has anyone else felt this?

Please use the shield icon next to the post button if your post is Not Safe For Work (AKA NSFW): Flagging your art NSFW isn't a judgment of your character. It's not bowing to corporate. It's not even a statement on your feelings about Yaoi. It's just considerate & it's very appreciated! Thanks!

It's a Bluesky posting window that has a word bubble pointing from the NSFW shield icon that says "Hi I'm the NSFW Button!"

How to filter out AI Images in Google Image Search. Sharing this with my students so I figured I'd also share it with everyone here. Hopefully this image is still relevant given Google's changes. Save this on your computer or phone and refer to it as needed.

HOW TO FILTER OUT AI IMAGES IN GOOGLE IMAGES

When you type something add the following minus keywords: -ai, -prompt

Since AI movement increased highly in 2022, use "before:" like before:2021 (VERY effective)

The following keywords will affect and should decrease amounts of AI imagery appearing on your search.

Create, not scrape!

Aaaand it's open!! Check out my new storefront for charms and stickers! cuttledreams.bigcartel.com

The text Cuttledreams Shoppe is written in blue with a pink dropshadow. The text has sparkles across it. Below it is a pink divider line, beneath which is written "Open!!" in blue with a pink dropshadow and sparkles. Below that is written "Sale for 10% off for first two days!" in pink.

The background is a starry background, and around the edge is a hot pink rounded border. The entire image is slightly low-res, emulating the style of old 90's website design.

Reminder: these “disclaimers” in an account bio mean, respectively, “the entire purpose of this account is to steal other people’s work” and “we don’t care who they are”. I don’t know why such accounts are allowed here. Don’t follow or promote content theft accounts. They make the internet worse.

The bio of an account called “Place where cat shouldn’t be” (@catshouldnt.bsky.social). The bio reads “These cats shouldn't be there. we don't own any content. All credit to owner. 🌹” I have underlined and highlighted the last two sentences.

Bsky please don’t be like this. Artists love when you comment on their stuff 🧡 Depending on how swamped we are or how anxious, some might not always reply. Myself, I do my best to reply as much as I can, and also know I treasure all of your interactions a lot. It’s why I post as actively as I do.

kath @rabitsphd

twitter artists genuinely do you like when people comment on your art and tell you they like it? i always just assumed since twitter art tends to have fewer comments that most people prefer only their friends interact
