![Association with the September 11 attacks
According to Contigo magazine , Celso Portiolli became famous on the internet in 2019 when a Portuguese user created the Facebook page " Celso Portiolli had nothing to do with 9/11 ", a reference to the terrorist attack against the United States coordinated by Al-Qaeda on September 11, 2001. The humor of the meme lies in relating a well-known figure to an event far removed from their reality. Various montages were spread, relating or not relating the presenter to the event. [ 33 ] [ 34 ]
Portiolli said in an interview for the Flow Podcast that he initially disliked the joke and was afraid of being stopped at airports, but eventually accepted it and even started taking photos near buildings when he goes to New York](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:cyyd366g3hrxp5rynixm2mm3/bafkreifa7bhgpfkfqkliegsej3646wlpybabzro5ucenligvbkrutncuvy)
