This is just like the "Philip Glass: Plumber" story!

This sometimes led to strange encounters. Glass shared this story in a 2001 interview:

"I had gone to install a dishwasher in a loft in SoHo. While working, I suddenly heard a noise and looked up to find Robert Hughes, the art critic of Time magazine, staring at me in disbelief. 'But you're Philip Glass! What are you doing here?' It was obvious that I was installing his dishwasher and I told him I would soon be finished. 'But you are an artist,' he protested. I explained that I was an artist but that I was sometimes a plumber as well and that he should go away and let me finish."

Glass made creative use of these experiences too. When he later took a job as studio assistant to abstract sculptor Richard Serra, Glass convinced the artist to start using lead for his works.

Youtube's feed is such nonconsensual bullshit. The only suggestion I can offer are to review your history and liked videos and make sure something Cornell 7 related didn't sneak in; both of those are treated as _far_ more strong a signal than an infinite number of "not interested" clicks.

if I put some dishes in a dishwasher and set it on a 4h delay, and in two hours I open it for ten seconds to put in another spoon, should it: a) finish the delay and then wash the dishes, or b) beep, and then either not wash the dishes (if you do nothing) or start instantly (if you hit start again)

my microwave and dishwasher are both weird little guys who insist on Saying Things well after I've left the room, and also do not understand basic interactions such as "I pressed start, please warm up my food" or "I set you on a delay timer, please wash my dishes later" if anything else happens too
