Day 5 of whale swimming: today we swam with multiple pods, even one with 7 whales!! What a way to end the week! We've been so incredibly lucky.

Day 3 of whale swimming, I didn't think it could get even better! Not only did we find a mother and calf again but there were 2 more whales with them! It was unbelievable!

Day 1 of whale swimming: I learned that I'm not immune to seasickness 🤢🛥️ It was quite miserable but it's ok cause I saw whales!! 😍 The ones we saw mostly stayed at the bottom so it wasn't always easy to spot them but we got a singer and I could feel the vibrations through my body, it was so cool!!

Didn't make it to the summit yesterday but still got to see a gorgeous sunrise 🌄 We started really well, making great time but 3h into it, the steepness got my legs tired earlier than I expected and I knew I didn't have enough energy to do 5-6h more hours to the summit + all the way back down 😞

I ran my first half marathon on Saturday!! It was so hard 😫😅 I only started running this year and I used to think I couldn't run a 5k but I ended up running 2 5ks, 2 10ks and now a half marathon! 🤯 I'd like to try a full marathon next year but I really don't know how I could run for twice as long 💀

Trip update: we didn't end up climbing Mont Blanc because of bad weather but we did Gran Paradiso in Italy! It was more challenging than I expected but because there was also drama in our group, one person can really ruin the experience for everyone... 🫤 Still happy I did it though!

Getting ready to climb the Mont Blanc! 😃🏔️ We're starting with a test climb of Gran Paradiso in Italy and if it goes well, we'll climb the Mont Blanc early next week! The weather forecast isn't good so I'm not super hopeful but if we're lucky, I'll be all the way up there at 4,806m (15,770ft)! 🤞🏻

I went to visit the Museum of Malware Art in Helsinki today! It's really cool to see an exhibition mixing art and technology to demystify cyber threats. Loved the Virus Archive visualizing famous malware and the interactive installation with gesture recognition!

Big shout out to my guide Rony! I wouldn't have been able to do it without him. Getting to the hut was already tough (99% stairs 😭), then pushing to the summit but the descent also took about 7h, my legs completely gave up on me and I don't know how I would have made it back without his help.

I reached the summit of Mt Kinabalu!!! 😃🎉 The ascent took 3h starting at 2.30am, it was steep and windy. I had to pull myself up with ropes, not attached and seeing much, I really thought I wasn't gonna be able to do it. When I finally saw this sign, I was ready to cry from exhaustion 😅

I'm about to go climb Mt Kinabalu! ⛰️🇲🇾 It might be the most physically challenging thing I've ever done so far. First, I gotta get to Pendant Hut at 3,289m this afternoon and tomorrow morning, if everything goes well, we hike to the summit at 4,095m (13,440ft) to watch the sunrise! 😃🤞🏻
