100%. There are so many better magical properties out there. Heck, if they want a British book/movie/tv series about a magical school, Worst Witch has been here the whole time. As far as I can tell, Jill Murphy was not only a better writer but also not a bigot. It's really not that hard.

To the last question, yee! One I lean towards is Aegosexual. I like the idea of a relationship and it's fun to think/fantasize about stuff but actually doing stuff is of no interest to me.

She was only 48 when she past... I can't help but wonder, if the US healthcare system was better - more accepting and less costly- would she have gotten help. Would she still be here. What else would she have created and inspired. Idk. Regardless, things need to be better than they are.

It's hard to trust your doctor when they wave off your concerns as nothing. Seem notably uncomfortable just looking at you. Ignore your requests of bodily anatomy because "you might change your mind later".

Maddie Blaustein past away about a year after this interview from an untreated stomach virus. She mentions in the interview how uncomfortable she is with doctors... It's not hard to imagine why. It's a feeling echoed by many women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community to this day.

This interview was recorded almost 20 years ago but it could have just as easily been yesterday. It's maddening we haven't made more progress in that time for trans people. I'm not trans, but I feel like Maddie's insights could- and probably have- help a lot of people www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8bi...

No game needs voice chat, get rid of it. Even if there wasn't tons of slurs and loud crash outs in every game, every gaming headset is a scam - they all sound like shit. I mute voice chat in every game I play.

1000% on just being upfront and honest. If you can't afford to pay actors at all, okay. If you can only afford to pay them a little, okay. If you can't pay them anything until the project makes money, okay. Just be honest. There are vast amounts of people who will try out for you regardless. Fuck ai

Still figuring out what’s next. But I will say: To any candidate who wants help setting up a new style of campaign, who needs advice on integrating mutual aid in their operations, who has questions about any weird, fun, unconventional part of our race, I would love to talk. Let me know.

It won't be continuing after this video - at least as an animated series- but I'm very glad I got to voice Rocky and that some part of the series sees the light of day. I'm eager to see what else the creator as in store. Please check it and the PurpleUn!verse out www.youtube.com/watch?v=RD8q...

I'm not poly but I agree with you, you should able to marry multiple people. I feel like there would be some extra paperwork for stuff like taxes, who's entitled to what when you die, and written acknowledgment that you know your spouse is multi-married, but none of that should make it illegal.

The reason why all the big tech companies are saying AI is "the future" is because they need to justify the billions of dollars they poured into the stock market over it. All this manufactured consent is a desperate ploy for their next get rich quick scheme, and it could collapse the economy.

MOOD. I frequently end up ping ponging between editing audio and listening to a youtube video for a few seconds at a time. The best alternative I've found for myself playing lofi music quietly enough that I hear it but not loud enough that I can't hear what I'm editing. Best of luck, stay strong lol

Ya know, as much as I strongly dislike rejection emails, I do find myself wishing sometimes I knew how close i got. Like obviously it's not feasible to do, but I'd enjoy it more if they went "out of 600 auditions, you placed 32" lol. I think I'd learn I'm closer to booking more stuff than I think.

Congrats on finding that spark again and thank you for sharing words of encouragement. I've felt stuck for a very long time as an actor. The bit at the end about "someone will hear you" was very much needed. Thank you. Looking forward to hearing your awesome performance 🥳

If after a fair trial and conviction you want to throw him in jail for life, sure. But if you're indifferent to the possibily of him being killed whilst having outcried there's "no place for political violence" you never cared about violence to begin with. You just wanted it only pointed downward.

000

Devon Black @devblack.bsky.social · 18/09/2025

Friendly reminder that if you really are against "political violence", you cannot be okay with him getting the death penalty. Regardless of crime, retaliatory punishment by death- ESPECIALLY WHEN CARRIED OUT BY THE GOVERNMENT- is political violence and agregiously so at that. Speak up.

I'd always hoped I'd get to be in something made by Nelvana. They were my favorite studio and one of the few I could realistically aim to work for as a Canadian talent. Now I never will. That dream is dead. Thank you Nelvana. For everything. You will be missed but not forgotten.

010

Devon Black @devblack.bsky.social · 02/09/2025

Nelvana had a hand in the majority of shows I grew up watching and most certainly the majority of the ones I remember most. They were there to distract me from all the horrible things going on at school. They helped develop my imaginations and ideas for storytelling.
