The Canadian healthcare system really sucks. I've been waiting so long to get treated for issues but the paperwork kept getting done wrong and I get sent to the back of the line. In the meantime these issues have destroyed the only good I had probably beyond repair

Since I was mixing audio today here is a small tip: Don't solely rely on meters and graphs. High end frequency content pierces through the mix easier than low end so even if 2 tracks are the same signal, one with high end details will always sound louder

A lot of people will tell you you're good to go if you just use a compressor to level everything BUT If you do a bit of manual gain increases first when there are large leaps in signal level, you'll get the most transparent results after compression

Never be afraid to ask a professional what they charge. For example, I charge indie devs $25 USD per custom crafted sound effects. Custom sound doesn't break the bank but it sure helps you stand out in the crowd #gamedev #indiedev #videogames
