If you encounter any accounts that you suspect are cheating, or if your account has been actioned, and you have questions, please see: Account Restrictions and Banning Policies: safety.bungie.net/hc/en-us/art... Appeal Ban or Restriction: safety.bungie.net/hc/en-us/art...

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 01/10/2026

We always work to ensure that the cheating accounts are actioned, and innocent players who are not actively seeking these cheats or their benefits are not punished.

1630

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 01/10/2026

Additionally, we are continuing to investigate and action new cheats as they come online in Destiny 2. We have recently seen cheats spamming unearned rewards and XP on innocent accounts. Accounts leveraging these cheats in malicious ways have already been actioned.

1540

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 01/10/2026

We would like to take this opportunity to remind all players to protect your account. Do not share your credentials or use account recovery, boosting, or cheat services. This opens your account up to risk, like being accessed on hardware leveraging cheat tools or services without your knowledge.

1550

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 01/10/2026

We have recently issued a large ban wave within Destiny 2 against accounts found to be violating terms of service either by cheating or by using account recovery, ban evasion, or boosting services. We have further investigated appeals to this wave to validate accuracy.

Update: Due to issues found on the Crucible map Disjunction, we will be removing the map from additional Crucible playlists. Players may still access this map in Private Matches moving forward.

Thank you to all players who have been reporting issues and feedback since Monument of Triumph launched.

>> From the Storm : After being out of combat for a moderate duration (this is the part that doesn't work... seems to be at any time, even when in combat!), slowly gain Frost Armor until you reenter combat.

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 31/07/2026

2. The Europa 4-piece Armor Set Bonus is being disabled in Crucible environments as it can give players Frost Armor at all times. This set bonus will continue to be available in PvE.

2280

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 31/07/2026

We have two more Crucible-centric changes going live today to address map and sandbox balance issues. 1. The map Disjunction is being removed from Iron Banner due to issues with Fortress zone placement.

2642

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 29/07/2026

Bountiful Munitions: While Adrenal Rush is active, final blows grant Special Ammo progress. Final Blows against powerful combatants, Guardians, and Taken grants additional progress. This set bonus will continue to function in PvE environments.

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 29/07/2026

Due to an issue where players can spawn near infinite Special Ammo in the Crucible, we will be disabling the 4-Piece Set Bonus from the Gambit "Cyberserpent Null" armor set in Crucible Ops playlists. Yes, this includes Iron Banner, which is live right now!

UPDATE: The issue with Zavala's weekly Vanguard Arsenal has been resolved. Players should now be able to claim the weapon as expected.

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 28/07/2026

Thank you to all the players that participated in the Excision, Ergo Sum Community Challenge. Those of you who helped defeat The Witness and stopped the final shape will have the Intrepid Pearl emblem waiting when they log into Destiny 2. Claim it from Collections > Flair > Emblems > General.

312413

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 28/07/2026

We are investigating an issue where Zavala's weekly Vanguard Arsenal weapon is not available for players to claim. Players are advised to not spend Chronologs unlocking additional weapon options at this time if that option is available to them. More information will be provided when available.

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 07/07/2026

We have issued a server-side fix to address an issue in which the Bane of Tyrants ship no longer had an acquisition source, blocking completion of the Lunar Rover badge and the Harbinger title. All players now have this ship unlocked in the badge and Collections under Equipment > Ships > Season 8.

We have just deployed a server side change to prevent the map "Meltdown" from appearing in Crucible playlists. Issue at hand: Players could get out of bounds, reaching previously inaccessible portions of the map that gave unintended advantages. A fix is planned for next week.

121282

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 23/06/2026

Players can still participate in Community Challenge: Excision, Ergo Sum and earn the emblem before it ends on June 25 at 11:00 AM PT. We aim to deliver the emblem into participating accounts within 30 days after the end of this challenge.

1701

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 23/06/2026

The Intrepid Pearl emblem is yours, Guardians! We asked for 250,000 completions of the Excision story mission and you delivered with ample time to spare. You sent a message as a community: The Witness will always be vanquished when Guardians band together as one.

We had changes related to the King's Fall and Pale Heart armor set bonuses that were slated for next week's patch but made it into today's update yet were not included in the patch notes. Apologies for the confusion! The Update 9.7.0.2 Patch Notes article has been updated to reflect these changes.

We tried to come up with a name. The Artifactening? Sure. Why not. If you have a better suggestion... throw it our way. All in all, it's Monument of Triumph. Do some crazy stuff. Send us your videos. Have some fun. Be Brave. (3/3)

Go ahead. Get out there, beat up on Atheon. Destroy some bosses. Do your thing. Just to note: we will be disabling Artifacts in Crucible/Gambit to protect Guardians from being on the receiving end of this. (2/3)

Destiny 2 Team @destiny2team.bungie.net · 16/06/2026

So, we've been seeing some interesting videos where Guardians are doing near infinite damage to bosses thanks in part to unintended Artifact perk stacking. Quite hilarious to watch, to be honest! While we're planning a fix (next week likely), we think this is a bit fun. (1/3)

We wanted to give an early heads-up that this fix means players will no longer be able to acquire Masterworks that they can swap into their weapons. In the meantime, we will not be taking any action to prevent players from doing this prior to the fix going live. Say hi to Dûl Incaru for us.

To maintain the integrity of this weekend's new Pantheon content, we're adjusting the behavior of an armor set bonus. Due to an issue where Tangles can cause more damage than intended, the Overflowing Coffers armor set bonus on the Grasp of Avarice armor sets has been disabled.
