Glory Hole Barista's release date is delayed to November 12, 2026. it's a tough, last-minute call, but this will ensure we can finish the remaining content to the high bar of quality that the game deserves. thanks for following along <3

hi everyone,

i've made the tough decision to delay Glory Hole Barista's launch to November 12th 2026.

the short explanation is, the game's content just isn't finished to the level of quality that we're comfortable releasing.

i know this will be disappointing and comes with short notice. the truth is, this project has me juggling more roles than anything i've done before, so i have not been at the top of my game with planning or comms.

the additional weeks will give me and my small team time to properly finish the planned content, and ensure the game is stable and solid. it really is coming together well and i think you will all love what we're cooking up!

as tough as it is to delay (and stretch our finances and stamina for an additional 7 weeks), it would be worse to release something undercooked that doesn't live up to our goals or your expectations.

if you're reading this, thank you so so much for following along, and for your patience! this game is a labor of love & we can't wait to share it with you on november 12.

An auri Warrior of Light from Final Fantasy XIV carrying a dark knight's sword. She glides through a dark void, stars clustered around her. Her hair swirls off one corner of the page, and her sword glows with similarly swirling purple, pink, and white light in the other corner.

going out on a limb on the hypothesis that even people who enjoy porn games are getting sick of samey AI gen content

Also to make it explicit: Monstrous Liberation is a porn game. Despite porn games being seen as the most obvious place to deploy lowest-common-denominator slop garbage there's STILL massive amounts of fatigue & contempt for genAI in that audience. Truly NOBODY likes it or is excited for it

As a transmasc nonbinary person I really appreciate how gender diverse this game is! I loved being able to change their chest size and just how androgynous the main character is. I've only played for around 30 minutes but I do feel like I can never restore enough skills which is kind of a bummer

Part of #SteamNextFest for us usually involves a foray into what's coming out in the explicit game sector as well. While I'm discouraged to see the amount of AI being used, the game "Glory Hole Barista" gets a special shoutout from us as being "proudly built by real human perverts, not AI" 🖤

There are like 400 Steam porn games meant for straight men who fetishize trans women (called "femboy" games) but of course it's the actual queer games that get targeted

“This game was targeted for harassment because it involved this person, or that person” No. Any game release that achieves any broad level of attention now will attract reactionary commentators and their harassment, because generating hatred is how they make their money. It’ll never be enough.

i just launched my first NSFW game, & all my friends gave me the excellent advice to not make it into a visual novel, since it's my first time writing erotica... so of course i ended up adding 3 romanceable characters each with an entire story arc 😅 so much to add but it's going great so far!
