Tonight's film was criticized by some as nothing more than a quick way to make a buck. in reality, it was a quick way for George A. Romero to regain control of the rights to NOTLD. Nobody involved ever pretended otherwise; but they didn't see why they couldn't make it good, too. #Svengoolie

There are two sequels to this: Return of the Fly, which is pretty much the same thing all over again, and the deeply weird Curse of the Fly, which has no flies in it at all, but is well worth the watch for some mid-century body horror. #Svengoolie
