iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

All the uncut gameplay footage and audio for my upcoming video added up to 38 gigabytes, not including the 3 gigabyte video itself. Good to have that space back on my computer now that it's done.

Here's the intro for Tuesday's Halo 2 video. The full video is 40 minutes. youtu.be/-cSKwpXJiNk?...

Ah, renders a lot faster when I delete the extra B-roll footage I had tucked away 8 hours into the DaVinci Resolve file

Hmmm, long videos take a long time to render

I'm not sure the median voter can learn anything and retain it longer than one election cycle.

My Halo 2 video seems like it's on track to be longer than my other 3 Halo videos put together. Once I'm done cutting the audio down it's going to take a while to add visuals.

While looking for a picture of Ardent Pray I found this book cover and I gotta say, it goes hard. Does prayer actually let you project a force ghost?

The engineering group behind the space tether on the Halo 3 map orbital was founded 5 years ago in 2021. For the next event on the Halo timeline we'll need to wait 44 years for the Covenant to put the Covenant corvette, Ardent Prayer, from Reach into service.

"Bro, I just want to work for Michigan" has got to be one of the most means tested casual phrases I've ever read.

Is there a lore reason why Cortana says that there's only one more longsword docked despite the fact that there are clearly a few more on the upper level? Is she a dumb AI?

Okay, new short is up. Time to play.

I appreciate Halo Studios and my slow internet for making sure that this update takes over an hour to load so that I have time to edit videos

It's funny that they doubled down on the date on Jenkins's helmet cam being wrong. Bro just canonically refuses to care what day it is.

Why yes Halo, I did want a checkpoint most of the way through Assault on the Control Room where my shields are being stripped and I'm getting chased by the most aggro camo elites in the galaxy. How did you know?

I'm currently replaying some of the early missions to look at skybox details before bed. Looks like there was a nearby supernova before the events of Campaign Evolved. I'll need to include this in my video on the game's astronomy after I catch up on the rest of the games.

Wow it is way easier to jump to the bottom of The Silent Cartographer now

The warthog really isn't as fun to drive now that it controls like a tank and gets EMPed every 5 seconds

Some parts inside the Truth and Rec feel like they were balanced more for Spartan Ops than campaign on legendary. But they did let me finish the mission without Keyes, so I guess those issues kinda cancel out.

Whoever suggested the one-hit-kill plasma pistol overcharge should be fired. The point is that it's supposed to remove your shields, not erase you from existence.
