...the other thing was how the trees would weep this ultra fine mist of sap constantly and how a car I had parked under them eventually got so coated and crusted it looked like it was in an ice storm, and the doors were stuck shut. Luckily it was super water soluble so you could hose it off though 😅

I rented a house that had (actually I can't remember if they were walnut or pecan trees now) these trees and I still vividly remember how the juice from the pods/coverings was this bright reddish orange that would permanently stain your skin, then needing to just grow out and fall away with the skin

There was a while there when I would sit down with a few fat chunks of the sharpest cheddar I could find, a bowl of Spanish green olives, and a bowl of tamari roasted almonds. One of the most satisfying meals ever. 😋🤤 A bit different from what you said, but still in the same spirit I think 🤘😊

My favorite thing about hardcore atheists, specifically the ones who claim to be atheists because of intelligence and scientific rigor, is that the only truly scientific take on religion is agnosticism. (Easy for me to say as an agnostic 😅)

The original “prompt engineers”. Understanding how to compile a proper boolean search was like being a god of information a couple decades (ish) ago. Now I’m lucky if it gets me a couple decent results in the first page or two of “legitimate interest” ad partners. 🤷‍♂️🫤🙄

Definitely my thoughts as well, like I’m glad they declined Hegseth’s demands for killbots, but I’m also part of a class action lawsuit where they paid a 1.5B settlement for stealing millions of books worth of IP right as they announced a 13B funding round that brought their valuation to 183B… 🙄

I definitely agree with this, if he wants to stay out of the limelight he should be able to. I also saw that I did say we need more POC to step up, poor choice of words. I just think it would be better if we had more POC representation and voices in our leadership. His seems like a great one imho.

To be fair I said that white people need to step up in a white supremacist system to open the way for POC to take the roles they should have had access to all along. We do need to stop standing around waiting, & the job isn't suited to anyone who doesn't want it so pushing him into it is a bad idea
