What a brilliant day we had at Rutland Water on Sunday. We were treated to many close up passes from a Hobby, 9 species of wader, including a Lesser Yellow Legs and so much more. Thank you Rutland.

Lovely day yesterday. First popped to Fillingham to see the Great Grey Shrike, with the added bonus of a Brown Hare. Then had a few hours at Alkborough Flats. Sun was out and so were the birds.

Just before we left Donna Nook a battle between 2 evenly matched males took place right next to the footpath. It was too close & I couldn't get far enough away. As they fought the battle scars got more serious. It was nature at its most raw.
