I don’t think that’s giving Shinkenger, my second-ever toku, enough credit. Go-Onger showed me what toku is, but Shinkenger showed me what toku is like when it’s *incredible.* Go-Onger is great but Shinkenger is an all-timer. A great one-two punch that changed my media habits forever lol

I’ve said before that Go-Onger is *the* reason I’m into toku. It was my first exposure to the Japanese side of it and it’s over-the-top nature and goofy but lovable cast really opened my eyes to the “spirit” of tokusatsu. If any other toku was my first, I might not have fallen in love with it. BUT
