It's easier to copy something, than making something from scratch. All these reverse engineered functionality matched applications/games using LLMs is in a way giving back to people what the LLM providers took without paying for it. I'm curious of the impact this will have for future software […]

The irony in all this is the warning signs are all ignored, people are still without a job and the token count and subscriptions keep rising. Good luck keeping a product operational more than a quarter. Because you will be adding one more feature, one more, just one more, and at the end you have […]

It's all about the ads. Ad blockers made advertising companies have to adapt or die. So now they come for what is with you the most: your phone. Your phones sensors are a context machine, and the more you use it, the more they can tell about you. Last time you used the screen, first time you […]

Finland just signed up to end cheap electricity prices. Spot prices to skyrocket. All that let's go EV talk because it's cheap to charge? Right. Petrol to go up, electricity to go up. Fossil fuel burning to go up. Climate? What's that? We had no summer this year up here. So we will freeze here […]

Interesting development. Banking apps, to be allowed on Play Store, they must use Play Integrity. As the majority of Android phone users are Play Certified devices, even if old, this means that engineering of said banking apps are pushed to use Play Store and leave everyone else excluded. This […]

There is more to it than meets the eye. A brand model also needs the spare parts suppliers to still have a production line active so that spare parts can be manufactured. So effectively, this means have plenty surplus of items. Which may never be sold, replaced. And if it's a battery, they need […]

Random thought of the day: #AI was trained on books, online content etc. Now, new models are being trained on content that itself probabilistically generated.
