Updated AppShovel.com to better highlight how many of the top 10 ranked apps have the keyword in their title or subtitle, so it's easier to spot opportunities/gaps.

improved AppShovel.com keyword list rendering, so now it's also fast(er) on safari reduced the table complexity (app rank preview images had 13 dom elements) also progressively load table rows on scroll, not thousands at once

I’ve improved charts in Liftlog+. You can now view your "All Time" progress and tap an exercise chart to clearly see how your weights have progressed over time, day by day.

Here's my pure mans version of Liftlog+ wrapped. Increased volume a bit this year, still nowhere close to being consistent.

Denis Andrašec @denrase.bsky.social · 15/12/2025

Increased the touch target for the reps/sets and wow, I should have fixed this months ago... 🤦‍♂️

So, sorry fuers zulabern. Rant over. 😅 Sonst find i tippi toppi dass was fuer Radfahrer passiert in Graz, weitermachen!

Optimised large keyword lists in AppShovel.com and went from 15 seconds to 0,7 seconds in one instance. A step closes to remove "Beta" from this feature... \o/

Find keywords that rank on the Apple AppStore and get more organic downloads.

Seeing that folks like to share keywords they found without revealing them, I have build a privacy feature for AppShovel.com. Happy sharing!

With this data becoming useless we'd be back to the days of the AppStore search being a complete black box, rendering most ASO services useless for finding popular keywords.

100

For example, if you search for "guitar scales", "learn to play guitar" and "learn guitar". These are all keywords which had decent popularity. Now they all return 5. The only one working is "guitar" with 60.

100

Did all ASO tools just become broken? It looks more and more like popularity data from Apple SearchAds is becoming useless, or at least only returning data for the most popular keywords.

Denis Andrašec @denrase.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

Either way, this is a problem for most ASO tools, as it's not clear yet what's going on and they all fetch data from Apple SearchAds.

000

Denis Andrašec @denrase.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

So either many search terms are not popular anymore and this is reflected in the new values, or this is some kind of caching error.

100

Denis Andrašec @denrase.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

Seems that the Apple SearchAds API is diverging between the popularities/recommendation endpoints. The former is returning a value of 5 for many keywords which had decent values before, while the recommendations still return those higher values.

Denis Andrašec @denrase.bsky.social · 19/09/2025

AppShovel.com had some issues with syncing popularity (thx external service provider) which are fixed now. Sorry about that! While at it, I also improved the keyword list sync to be more robust.

My ASO tracker AppShovel.com now updates keyword rankings automatically every 24 hours. Was getting annoyed with opening my lists manually every day. 🤷‍♂️ #buildinpublic

One more AppShovel.com thing before the weekend.... ☝️ Hacked together charts for keyword ranks, so you can see how your ranking changes over a longer period of time. 📈 #buildinpublic #iosdev

Noticed very slow loading while dogfooding AppShovel.com with long lists. Reduced the amount of data and added lazy image loading. Good improvement, but Safari is somehow still way slower than Chrome. 🤷‍♂️
