Another Twitter refugee (@cupoftea69). I post random nonsense about Doctor Who, music and cats as a rule and occasionally share my truly appalling poetry, although I’m attempting a novel at the moment. You have been warned !

Rambo is doing #Caterday right !
A large fluffy ginger cat regards you from a crumpled duvet on an unmade bed.

His eyes are barely open as he’s been out all night and his massive velvety ginger front paws are crossed.

#fourphotosonemonth September. Dramatic skies and calls to arms.. Passing trains, a squirrel immorally immortalised and a precious garden visitor. Not sorry it’s over but Winter Is Coming !
An autumn sunset in vivid pink and violent yellow. Great clouds gather ahead like a blanket to smother. A railway truck : part of a whole train with each carriage filled with pine tree logs. Breathe in - you can almost smell the acrid tang of new wood in the cool morning air. A taxidermied red squirrel posed onto a log in a bar in Oslo . There is a picture of a fox dressed in hunting garb behind the squirrel but I don’t think he’s the murderer. A brown hawker (possibly) decided to spend a little time with me enjoying the sunshine on the terrace on a September day .

When every day could be the last good day And the sun roars its farewell Let’s gather and break bread As we await the dawn
Fiery autumn sunset; a furnace glow in the horizon draped in greypurple clouds with lighter vanilla streaks in blue separating the sun’s last rays from a looming grey giant of a cloud with hints of eerie orange light within.

Local garden centre taking the upcoming celebrations in their stride, I see #Halloween #Christmas
An artificial Christmas tree on a carpet of bark chippings in a garden centre in small town Norway. The tree has been decorated with the (plastic) skeletons of cats, dogs and rats. It’s a bit unsettling.

August 2026 #FourPhotosOneMonth There were beers by the harbour, more medicinal shenanigans , the loss of a beloved King. This month has been tough and tiring indeed. Rambo the cat says winter will be a cold one. I still don’t know if this is good or bad.
A view of the harbour at Aker Brygge, Oslo. There are clouds of wisp and mackerel variety in a blue sky with a sun considering setting in a while. And lots of pricey looking boats moored up in the silver-blue water. My right arm, with freckles and rose quartz and chakra stone bracelets. There is also one of those gauze plasters with a blob of cotton wool just above the bracelets as that was the only viable vein the poor nurse could find! We sadly lost the beloved King of Norway on 28th August. There is a sea of flowers outside the royal palace, and it’s still growing. Rambo a giant ginger boycat. He is lying on a footstool on the terrace showing off how floofy he is becoming after having been quite sleek all summer. He predicts a cold winter ahead.

#FourPhotosOneMonth July was never going to live up to June’s magnificence. There was a needed personal reset and something horrific on the doorstep. I bear no external scars.
A truly massive sweetshop just over the border between Norway & Sweden. The choice was amazing. The signs are in pink and there are long counters full of sweets, lollies and chocolates in rainbow colours and lots of happy people. Yes reader, I got 2 kilos of pick n mix for 200 SEK and I have no regrets. A new companion for me - a surprise gift from David. A cat cushion in a greenly yellow fabric with white eyes and paws and decorative motifs as if drawn with black ink. He has hearts on his chest and pointy ears. Vaguely triangular. There was a huge fire in a housing estate across the river on 17th July. This is the view from just beyond my driveway that evening- many fires still burning. As the fire started in the afternoon nobody died and no-one was seriously hurt. Many of the cats that had to be left when the people evacuated have now been found. Over 100 homes destroyed- 400 people lost absolutely everything. I haven’t had a proper night’s sleep since it happened. Annual mammogram and first trip to brand new swanky (although not without its flaws) Drammen Hospital. Was delighted to see big giant wooden pusscat in the corridor. The tree things surrounding it grew out of its tail.

Just a quiet week … working and fretting and scrabbling as usual but there were a couple of moments of beauty in the day …
Two pink roses in a flowerbed that could use some weeding,. Despite that the roses are almost perfect with darker pink hues edging the petals and in the centre of the flower at the top. A late summer sunset in Norway with a pink haze over the horizon and grey clouds fussing overhead against shades of creamy yellow and grey blue .
