New Horizons is now *three days away* from shutting off its two heliophysics instruments, simply because NASA has not provided the $2M in funding it had promised to the mission last year or this year. There is no science basis for shutting these off. Our earlier coverage:

My experience on Bluesky and on Mastodon fits with the view that chronological order does not help fix polarization or inequality of attention among users. Good old boring LinkedIn is catching a greater proportion of my social media time budget these days.

I feel sorry for your loss. In Canada's 2025 federal elections just a few months ago, the party that won the second most seats in Parliament had proposed deep budget cuts to the CBC. So yes, Quirks and Quarks could be threatened at the next elections. Canada currently has a minority Government.
