Whoa hi. I haven’t used bsky in a hot minute. Hope you’re all doing okay in the meat grinder? I didn’t realize a lot of you followed me on here. I try not to stare too long on social media these days

This is a very good visual for how talking about artists helps us. If you’ve commissioned, bought from or worked with an artist, please talk about it. It helps us a lot.

I haven't been on here for a while, but yeah so I'm finally settling in a bit at my new dayjob. And might I just say that I'm not sure if americans know this or are aware but let me just say anything that's happening over there is greatly making waves all the way here in Asia. It's certainly...A LOT.

Congratulations to @dengu.bsky.social for winning a @massmice.bsky.social Mini-Grant for their zine, Conversations. Poetically cryptic text messages and enigmatic drawings set a mood of contemplation and motivation! www.radiatorcomics.com/shop/uncateg...

zine cover, a person holds an umbrella holding out their hand to see if it's still raining. Above them a text message reads "Hello? Are you There?"

Two-page comic spread, each page features a single framed image, on the left two people walk past paintings laughing and talking, text messages above them read "Hey I think I remember who I am," "Congratulations and Welcome Back." "I hope you remember the right one." On the right hand page, two people in a car laugh as a text message reads "I Understand you better"

Before the pandemic I used to get invited to schools at career day type things to speak to young adults and teens about work and one thing I wish i told them before was whatever opportunities come their way is that their health should come first no matter what

Hey! If anyone at MICE bought a copy of the Conversations Zine from Kittybug Press this past weekend i’d love to send you a pdf (for free!) of the new extended version. I made a longer version just for Radiator Comics but i still want anyone who got one to have it. Just drop me your emails!

Have you ever drawn so many pages of a comic….sit back and think about the flow and add more pages in between pages until it feels right? So anyway

in my experience the bulk of new readership is extremely visually savvy, far more adventurous in taste than a vocal minority stuck in the past. they found ways to serve themselves. the question should be, in my opinion, "how do we meet these readers where they are?"

to be blunt: i think the question is a bit of shutting the barn door behind the horse and has already been answered en mass by new readers. they've already migrated to formats, genres, and price points that work for them. webtoons, manga (esp reading via app on phones), etc.
