Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 28/02/2026So is Iran’s. I’m not saying trust trump. Or Israel. No. Never. But don’t mistrust them so much you lap up Iranian propaganda and lies without any thought. 2290
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 28/02/2026This is poor logic. Don’t hate trump so much you believe a different horribly barbaric government. 3210
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 30/12/2025Right, patch minutes between rotations. Like a third/fourth string option. They’re on their 4th string PG (5th if you count Dame). That’s not bad planning or bad roster building. That’s just insane luck. Any team that loses their top 4 PGs or C’s are going to struggle hard. 110
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 30/12/2025I don’t think it’s a tank season. But it was never a contender season. It was a growth season. 000
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 30/12/2025They did add a backup plan. It was Blake Wesley. And Love. That said, I’d love if they called up Dillon Jones. He’s been awesome for the Remix. 120
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 29/12/2025Yeah, he’s a secondary ball handler/weak side playmaker. Not a primary ball handler. But who is taking the ball if Dame/Jrue/Scoot are all out? No one else is any better. That’s the point and problem. 110
Reposted by Ben MillerKenny’s G League @kennysgleague.bsky.social · 10/12/2025Blake Hinson continues his dominance. 39/5/5 tonight on 15/26 shooting. 193
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 09/12/2025I fully agree “gather” should be the instant the ball touches you. I’d love to see that rule change. Or be a little tighter. 210
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 09/12/2025I see one hand on the top half of the ball and the other hand not on the ball? Am I seeing something you’re not? Feels like he could easily be mid cross over (if the defender wasn’t right there). If you said he continued to dribble from here I’d believe it. 100
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 09/12/2025I guess. That’s really close. If that’s what this is, then this is an insane overreaction (Not by you specifically). 000
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 09/12/2025Where is the third step? I feel like this was a good breakdown. Are you counting that first step in #1? I guess that’s close, but it feels like that foot is on the ground by the time he controls the ball. bsky.app/profile/cyth... 110
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 09/12/2025He lifted his pivot, standing on his non pivot, then lifted and shot before placing his pivot. That’s just a step through. Go watch Hakeem. He does the exact same type of steps constantly. It’s literally what made him great. Kareem did this with his hook a ton too. 110
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 09/12/2025I’m looking the exact opposite. The first part is borderline. The second is incredibly clean. It’s textbook. If you think the second half is bad, then every big in the history of the league traveled to very time they scored in the paint. 100
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 09/12/2025How many steps does he take? He slides his pivot, which would be a travel. He doesn’t take too many steps. It’s very borderline that has the optics of being egregious. 100
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 09/12/2025If you think the step through is a travel, I don’t know what to say. 110
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 09/12/2025I was the exact opposite. I thought this has to be egregious. And it just wasn’t. 110
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 09/12/2025I think you’re wrong. The amount of people that I’ve seen say the second half of the move is the problem is wild. That step through is not a travel at all. I also don’t see a travel in the first half (outside of a slide of the pivot). This move doesn’t seem egregious. 110
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 14/11/2025Grant, Scoot, maybe Yang and/or Orlando’s first for Sabonis and Keon? I have no idea what Sacramento will want back. I don’t love the fit of Sabonis in Portland. He’d have to play the 4 and Clingan would have to stretch the floor a bit better than he does right now. 000
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 29/09/2025I get people are mad, but I don’t hate it. At the end of the day, if sharpe is going to be that guy, he has to be that guy. If he takes a leap, he takes a starting job. Playing 30 minutes a game off the bench instead of 30 minutes a game starting isn’t going to change his development arc. 010
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 06/07/2025In short: BPA. You take the best player and deal with the roster building later. Also, what are the odds that both are superstars, no matter how much you believe in both? And if both are all NBA caliber centers, is that a bad thing? You just get a ridiculous haul to trade one? 010
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 05/07/202510-15 heaves a year could drop your 3 point percent by 3-5%. The difference between a guy shooting 40% vs 35% is probably 5+ million a year in salary. 050

Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 30/06/2025I think Jrue is a wildly different situation. Ayton and Simons want a full time starting role and to be a focus of the offense. Jrue has taken lesser roles in the offense the last few years. He’s great because it gives the young guys more offensive workload while having a competent vet around them. 020
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 30/06/2025Seems like they wanted to offload the two vets that wanted full time starting positions and some focus in the offense. I get it from both sides. Ayton (and Simons) didn’t wanna give up their roles, the team didn’t want those roles to continue. So a move was inevitable. 010
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 30/06/2025He was cap filler. Portland got Camara to take his contract. And Phoenix paid a first to offload Nurkic. In retrospect, Portland won that and I’d do it again without hesitation. 000
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 30/06/2025Seems pretty clear the wanted to be rid of the vets that wanted focus in the offense, and held/added vets that were good role players they don’t need offense designed for them. All in all, clear the way for the youth. 020
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 30/06/2025I wouldn’t hate it depending on other moves. They could find a deal for Williams and get a pick out of it, then sign an ok vet center to be the third guy in the rotation, especially if he could shoot a bit. Positive asset management and youth development. Success. 000
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 30/06/2025Grant is a really curious point for the rest of the offseason. He can’t start. He just can’t. But will he accept a 6th man role, and very little focus of the offense? Or does he need to be moved too. 020
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 30/06/2025I never understood why people thought they were win now moves. They’re clear the runway for the youth moves. 121
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 30/06/2025Playing their young guys and including a few vets that are good with reduced supporting roles. And shedding the vets that don’t want supporting roles and want to be primary guys on a team. 000
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 26/06/2025If he’s a rotational player for a few years he’s a successful pick. A starter at any point and he’s a great pick. 010
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 26/06/2025Doesn’t feel like there’s any chance that all 3 vet centers are on the roster by the end of the summer. 000
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 24/06/2025Yeah, a good vet guard simply sets the table for everyone else making their lives easier. Jrue is absolutely that kind of guy. Also good off the ball. He definitely seems like one of those guys that teammates say “he was a main reason why my career was successful” years after they played with him. 000
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 24/06/202510% seems high. What’s the conversion of seconds to get the #10 pick. Feels like it would be like 70-80 second round picks. 000
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 24/06/2025Simons was a very bad compliment to the two guys they want running the offense. Jrue is a -great- compliment to them. This should not be downplayed as a huge factor. 010
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 24/06/2025These two couldn’t be much more different. How in the world is Simons a young Jrue in any way? 100
Reposted by Ben Millerjulio 🤙 @juliocan2.bsky.social · 24/06/2025I just wanna shout out Anfernee Simons, man. Blazers legend. From 2014-2021 the Blazers had one draft pick that stuck around and turned into a real deal NBA Player. He’s improved year after year on an ever changing roster, and no doubt he’ll continue to ball wherever. Thanks for the Anfernos 🔥 🙏 1464

Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 24/06/2025But also keep Jrue. Jrue, Book, Tou, and Deni is a group that could be really fun. 110
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 24/06/2025He will have plenty of time to show what he’s got. But is that giving him the starting job no matter how he plays or what he does? Even if his play is detrimental to everyone else? 000
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 24/06/2025He’s played 3 years. He’s played 30+ minutes the last two years. Hes had opportunities. He’ll keep getting opportunities. But just giving him the starting role without earning it feels like what the Kangs would do. 100
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 24/06/2025Sure, but it’d also easy to see Sharpe come off the bench because he just hasn’t earned a starting role. Jrue helps cover a lot of things Scoot struggles with. Any two of those 3 guards could start. None of those options would really shock me. 100
Ben Miller @demtral.bsky.social · 21/06/2025Not really. At least not anything close to a modern player with that type of resume and effectively no non-NBA resume too. 000
