Goodbye Prague, goodbye #OSSummit EU, we've had a blast. It was a great event and I'm very happy about the connections that I made. Let's do more great things like that 🥳

Last day of #OSSummit EU is on, come and stop by the #SUSE booth! We still have a few plushies left, if you beat our quiz 😉 And we are also showcasing a #RISCV educational emulator on the #RISCV MilkV Pioneer running #openSUSE Tumbleweed. The emulator has […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

The weather is getting ugly in #Prague, so better stay inside at #OSSummit EU and visit the #SUSE booth. We still have plushies for you, if you pass our quiz 😉

Day 2 of #OSSummit EU is on, come and stop by the #SUSE booth, take our quiz and win a geeko! And take a peek at our #RISCV MilkV Pioneer running #openSUSE Tumbleweed ported by @ppisa

We're at #OSSummit EU until Friday, showing of the #RISCV Milk-V pioneer, running #openSUSE Tumbleweed. Come over and take a look! We have a RISC-V emulator too, that emulates RISC-V on RISC-V thanks to @ppisa 🥳

Heading to #OSSummit EU to showcase the #RISCV MilkV running #opensuse Tumbleweed. And while customizing my badge, I accidentally made a turned Belgian flag. Or a wrong German one 😅

#LinuxDays 2026 is a wrap! We've had a great booth experience this year, with many guests loving the geeko plushies. And some great discussions and feedback from users, the kind of things that you only get on a community event. And you get to play #doom on […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

I am really getting tired of the Raspberry Pi, every booth demo ends in a catastrophy. Today, sddm dumping core on #tumbleweed 🫩

After far too long, I've finally written a blog post again: dancermak.name/firefox-kiosk.html It's about stuffing #Firefox into a #container with #podman and running it in a wayland session, either on a kiosk booth or on your own machine. Give it a […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

Gotta love that some things never change: #npm and #react are still security dumpster fires. Ran a `npx create-react-app foobar` followed by a `npm audit report` and got: 28 vulnerabilities (9 low, 5 moderate, 14 high) Nice 💪 Let's try again next year 😅
28 vulnerabilities (9 low, 5 moderate, 14 high)

To address issues that do not require attention, run:
  npm audit fix

Gotta love it when you have to tell the Agent how to use its own tools 😅
Opencode chat window with the user saying:
The read tools supports ranges

and the agent responding:

You’re right. I’ll use Read ranges for line-numbered snippets instead of Bash for file ranges.

At least #claude realized that it was a silly idea 😅
Output of Claude Code saying:
❯ the fuck are you trying to do??

You're right, that was a stupid way to do it. Let me just use Edit:

Thanks #claude for fixing your own hallucination 🙈
thinking block in Claude Code saying:
Before writing the commit message — I made up issue #1755 in the test docstring. Let me remove that since the plan didn't specify one.

Wow, thanks for nothing #Gemini 🙄 I naively assumed that the blasted #AI knew at least what its own features were
Chat window of Google Gemini showing the text:

I need to pause and apologize—I messed up and gave you inaccurate information in my previous responses. I completely hallucinated an official "Gemini Projects" feature by mixing up a third-party browser extension, competitors' features, and Google's actual AI tools.

To be totally straightforward: Google does not have an official, native feature called "Gemini Projects" that acts as a workspace.

it's not the NVME... even a live system dies with squashfs errors

You gotta love #claude for calling out itself for hallucinating changes 😂
Console output showing:
Good - the Plan agent hallucinated about state column removal and alembic migration changes. Those files are NOT modified in the worktree. Let
me now write the accurate plan.

Sneak peek of a feature that we're adding to skiff, an #OCI / #docker image analysis utility: `pkg_diff` It does what the name suggests, it displays the version changes between two container images.
Console output showing the following text:

Sometimes I do really wonder what #Gemini "thinks" when performing a truly pointless action like this 👇
