I didn’t check for 3-eyed fish but if there are any here, they would obviously say Bonjour.

So I thought the booking websites always just said positive things. Apparently not. I’m not sure what The Love Room is, but for €87 it’s not exactly priced by the hour.

This airport sandwich contains bread (6 lines), tomato, mayonnaise (3 lines), bacon (2 lines), lettuce. Seems excessive for 5 different items.

I for one am glad to read the Bogong Moths are having a good year. There’s been swarms of birds flying over Parliament House every night lately munching on the ones drawn to the lights. Also who can forget this moment? (people under about ~30 excused) www.theguardian.com/science/2026...

Seems very legit! Came from Canada apparently, but with a French stamp on the envelope to an address I moved out of 8 years ago. The convenience of a QR code too! So if you need me, I’ve quit my job I’ll be living on a beach somewhere.

Well it’s not been a good year for snow things. But if you’re an optimist there was a late dump last year so…maybe all that aggressive advertising for September snow trips wasn’t completely bonkers. I’ll stay home at this rate anyway.

If you actively buy no properties, bail others out in uncommercial ways and actually try to go bust, it will still take about an hour to get out of a monopoly game you didn’t want to be in on.

I’m such a nerd, sitting in a cafe in a Nice and the most interesting thing I can’t stop looking at is all the holiday traffic number plates driving past…France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, UK (feat rh steering wheel), Albania, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Ukraine.

A first for me, giving plasma yesterday. It was going at a cracking pace but then blood started leaking out beside the dirty great needle so they called a stop for the day. The actual time connected to the machine was short compared to the whole process.
Some sort of bloodletting machine, feat my arm and claret. The counter at the top is how many ml of plasma they had extracted and the target being 879ml. Yet to get my head around the plumbing but moving/squeezing the hand stimulated blood into the vein.

From the plane window I could see lots of somewhat wishful bike path infrastructure in the Abu Dhabi suburbs. Yes, good to build it. Alas, I don’t know it would get much use.

A kebab gyro in Athens is €3.80 ($6.24) and I think that was an expensive place. It’s a bit smaller than you’d get in Australia but that’s perfectly fine. It’ll go nicely with a €1.50 can of beer from little shop I walked past.

Family worried about the communism hiding in the budget. As I said to dad, mate neither you nor I are rich enough to be bothered to care about any of this. We are safe. Until we strike it mega rich and are multi millionaires with big net wealth ratings, it’s ok. We’ll be fine.

Ok this is ridiculous and I am thinking I’ve messed up the calculation… nope… in the last year of driving a Polestar we’ve done about 10,0000km. The actual electricity used to charge the car cost a total of $370, and that’s ignoring what we got for free from the sun off the roof. Madness.

This fridge magnet souvenir from my friend’s 2015 trip to the US didn’t age well. Firstly, the Newseum is long gone, and secondly ‘prove it’… lol alas and unfortunately such an idea that things people in power say should be demonstrably true is but a fever dream now.

Flew myself across the Bass Strait yesterday. There’s a lot of very small islands I hadn’t appreciated. Also pictured here, Tasmania’s land border with Victoria.
Boundary Islet is a Little Rock poking up at the back, and is the state’s only land border due to colonialists drawing arbitrary lines on maps.
