So… I ordered a set of these Super Mario RPG figures on Etsy back in July but the seller ghosted me then deleted his shop, and they were NOT cheap. For some reason Etsy is making me wait until Oct 9 to file a report. 😞

So… My daughter and her friends went to the Lego store and a couple of them made purchases that qualified for a free Astro Bot set. I offered $25 for each and her friends jumped at it. SCORE!!!

So I installed a DLSS 5 mod on the Witcher 3 Remastered and… I didn’t hate it. Thankfully you can tweak settings so the result is more subtle, I also added some reshade mods to make the colors less-saturated and more lifelike.

The Witcher 3 Remastered on PC looks stunning

This might be my bad. I yanked out the (Cat-5e) Ethernet cable, connected to WiFi and it’s getting 900+ I wonder if the cable went bad? It was connected directly into my router. So weird!

I’ve been playing the Stellar Blade demo for Switch 2 because I heard it uses 30 > 60 FPS frame gen and I wanted to see how well that works and the answer is… Surprisingly well?? I thought frame gen was a no-no under 60 FPS but this is perfectly playable and on a fast-paced game too. Check it out!

Oh and some better pics of both

FYI: There is some slight damage to the manual and back insert. Prices are all over the place for it, pricecharting says $130 but eBay is anywhere from $80 to $200 so I could do $80 plus shipping.

Here’s mine, Dec 2024: 64GB DDR 5 6800-MT $219 …. And recent eBay prices for the same kit. 🤢

I’m listing stuff on eBay this weekend. If anything catches your eye, shoot me a DM and I’ll knock ~20% off the price for a direct sale. I’ll continue adding to this thread!

Tried to download Witcher 3 Remastered on my son’s S2 but it wouldn’t allow it bc he’s under 17 (almost 15) even with parental controls set to unrestricted. I’d expect this of Nintendo 10 or 20 years ago but why have an option to restrict content just to override it? 🙄 A Reddit post confirming:

Test from a Reddit post confirming my experience: Essentially, the ESRB setting in the parental app does nothing. Nintendo blocks your kids from downloading stuff they decide is inappropriate and don't really care if you set unrestricted. They will only let you restrict further than ninth decides.

I was hoping this would take better advantage of the dual screens, like Contra 4. The map is stupid, but gameplay is solid.

My daughter wanted to go to GameStop, I’m not a fan, but I checked out their retro section while we there and couldn’t pass up Metal Slug 7 for $35. It sells for around $100 on eBay 👀

I just did a search and evidently the Costco (“supreme”) version is unique??? Weird. No wonder it looked so nice. I assume you’ve seen pics of the basic (“deluxe”) one?

I was curious if there was an equivalent Avatar set, and there is, but I’m good. 🫣

It genuinely warmed my heart today to see a local Goodwill stocking CRTs! This is the same Goodwill I pleaded with a few years ago begging them to stop recycling them as they are desirable and have value. Thankfully someone there finally figured it out! Happy day!

I saw the Sonic 1 Up Arcade at Costco and it’s a shockingly lovely looking cabinet but the game selection is baffling and disappointing. These four games should’ve been BONUS titles. The actual Sonic arcade games would have made this cab very tempting. Sure, it can always be modded, but oof…

I would have flipped out of these were available back in the 1990s! Better late than never, eh? Can’t say I have room for the DK minecart playset but it is pretty darn cool.

This was my pre-season projection of how the Ram’s season would play out and so far it’s 100% accurate. Unfortunately I have them winning tomorrow, but thankfully dropping the next three. It’s science you see.

If you change your mind lmk! I’d be down to trade too. I had to remove the cameras to bring it into work to play on breaks! (I worked somewhere where cameras where prohibited.)

I think the original 3DS to 3DS XL is also in the running. 3DS prices are crazy but the even the base 3DS is like $100, nobody wants it! That said… I do think the design itself is pretty slick in a way the New and XL lines lack.

120

And if you prefer a more traditional Trinitron look, it can do that as well. It’s nice how you can assign profiles to the numbers on the remote so you can quickly switch between them.
