Fighting fascism requires a realistic analysis of power and force. The right-wing shouldn't feel they can reward their killers and motivate others to kill for them without any consequences. I wrote about the importance of unrelenting actions for @prismreports.org. prismreports.org/2026/02/04/f...

When we say Black, we mean EVERYBODY Black.  Blackness is not one story, one language, or one flag. It spans across continents, cultures, and histories — including the voices, brilliance, and resilience of Black immigrants in the United States.
"When we say BLACK, we mean EVERYBODY BLACK." The word "EVERYBODY" is highlighted in orange. Below the text is the BEAM (Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective) logo. At the bottom, there is a diverse group of illustrated Black individuals wearing clothing featuring various national flags, including Brazil, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Argentina, Cuba, South Africa, Haiti, Ethiopia, and more — representing the global and intersectional nature of Black identity.

Widespread contempt defines the USA these days. The most heartbreaking and tragic situations often seem to get less sympathy than they once did. Instead, many responses center on unflinching callousness and despicable scapegoating, pushing the country further into its spiraling downfall.

Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories—until Palestine is free." - For the last time, Hossam Shabat, from northern Gaza. 23 and he knew to leave a death note.
PRESS
hossam_shbat 4h
This is Hossam's team, and we are sharing his final message :
"If you're reading this, it means I have been killed
-most likely targeted-by the Israeli occupation forces. When this all began, I was only 21 years old-a college student with dreams like anyone else. For past 18 months, I have dedicated every moment of my life to my people. I documented the horrors in northern Gaza minute by minute, determined to show the world the truth they tried to bury. I slept on pavements, in schools, in tents
-anywhere I could. Each day was a battle for survival. I endured hunger for months, yet I never left my people's side.
By God, I fulfilled my duty as a journalist. I risked everything to report the truth, and now, I am finally at rest-something I haven't known in the past 18 months. I did all this because I believe in the Palestinian cause. I believe this land is ours, and it has been the highest honor of my life to die defending it and serving its people.
I ask you now: do not stop speaking about Gaza.
Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories—until Palestine is free."
- For the last time, Hossam Shabat, from northern Gaza.

Care is complicated, gendered, misused. It is often mobilized to enact violence, not assuage it, yet I cannot surrender it. I want acts and accounts of care as shared and distributed risk, as mass refusals of the unbearable life, as total rejections of the dead future— @hystericalblkns.bsky.social

You can’t “expand access to IVF” and support fetal personhood at the same time🫣 If embryos are “people” from conception, this raises the likelihood of criminalization related to the destruction of embryos, a natural part of the IVF process.
Executive Order, February 18, 2025 title: Expanding Access to In Vitro Fertilization. Text: This executive order fails to address one of the greatest threats to IVF: the anti-abortion ideology
that gives legal rights to embryos and fetuses, which exists in laws and judicial decisions across the country.Trump himself had proclaimed that men and women are 'people' from conception.

An executive order from January 20, 2025 reads: "Female" means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell. "Male" means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell.

The ability to have an abortion, a healthy pregnancy, a healthy newborn, and access to IVF are all connected. It is impossible to support one without the other.

People are taking much of this about what the “Founding Fathers” wanted and “checks and balances” too far. This moment is the fulfillment of many of those men's visions. There's no point in pretending they were what they weren't. Fight how you can, but don't reinforce white supremacy in the process.

Everything about the fascistic white supremacist virulence that's overrunning the US is a return to tradition, not a departure from it. White supremacist despotism is quintessentially US. That's why this country inspired Hitler. A new society won't be gained by clinging to nostalgic lies and myths.

Efforts to paint the moments we're in as “anti-American” while romanticizing US history and its foundations do not dig us out of fascism; they dig us deeper in. Tell the truth about how this country came to be and what it is now, or expect more problems.
