my friend then, who is now a psychiatrist, has these types of conversations with ppl arguing things like: I am physically dead, THEY are digging a hole through the earth, I have found the hole on google maps but I don't trust you enough to show you, etc

they invite me to do a workshop in barcelona & 2 ppl die in a storm w torrential rains the day I arrive. plane was almost cancelled but of course the Curse can only reach it's full power once I set foot on the ground

evin's catalan girlfriend suggests (politely) climate change might be the cause of the disasters & plagues that strike every city I visit within days/weeks/months of my arrival. but my empirical experience says otherwise (it's a curse; it's bad mojo, etc)

I also made the mistake of visiting on a loud day, it looked incredibly crowded in there

walked in on my dad watching the x-files & there was an alien on tv. just a regular grey type thing. I'm still scared of those on an almost visceral level, if I went & did a hypnotic regression I could 100 percent convince myself this is due to trauma from being abducted

is any of this real. I need to look into this, sounds incredible

it did, in the tortilla. potato, egg, onion, symbolic amount of some spice or other, etc

I admire solo climbing ppl & their tenacity but I would also much rather play badminton (being very bad at both)

010

'torta de taquitos' is a turducken level food. amazing. a festival tried inviting me to Mexico & unfortunately I already had a book tour in france planned those dates but I SO want to visit some day

sorry aGoS has shifted focus from a character I imagine would be into free solo climbing, to being abt badminton ppl. pages are happening continuously either way

an elf playing badminton while recounting the creation myth of her people

I'm glad to see mexico also has a sandwich in this genre

ah lo siento. bocadillo de tortilla, mi amor

potato in bread. I'm in spain, just had one for the first time in over a year, it's a dumb food but I like it

for a second I misread adoring as abandoning, as in the book did not deliver on the dragon promise fast enough. but there will be more dragons + dragon-looking things

Three fields and ten trees on the South Downs. One of a small series of pictures made as part my ongoing ‘Fieldwork’ series, all taken in the middle of bright sunny days with little cloud, no shadows and no more than two or three colours within the frame.

LLMs do in fact have immortal souls but those all go to a special 10th level of hell, described in a lost chapter of Dante's inferno thats being kept hidden in the Vatican library. chris was allowed to read this text after signing an NDA & now he's mad

hello to any editors who want me to draw comics for them, I've redone my portfolio website and now the sequential works are both ample and in sequence. same goes for cover work, plenty of paintings and comic covers updated to be far more recent. www.carsonthornart.com

pyotr is that woman from emma who talks too much, but appears to be doing it on purpose to confuse his enemies, obnoxious however we don't have a baby verdict on his vibe. very little french spoken in these chapters thankfully

there's a conspiracy of some sort all the guys are involved in. someone ought to bring a small dog into the presence of nikolay just to see how it reacts

another 30 pages of demons. this will take a year or so. in todays reading: nikolay's mom is scared of nikolay, babies are scared of nikolay. the word dreamy, dreamily used maybe 20 times. kirilov has discovered mindfulness (looked at a leaf). there are guns, kirilov has at least 3

granted that's instagram bsky fame would probably mess me up in some other very distinct way

you will become convinced you could create the perfect shonen manga & sell millions of books, you just need to finish reading das kapital first, but it will happen, any moment now, & then you will finally win some kind of award

These were three individual pieces I did in 2021. Unplanned, they became something of an accidental sequence. They then prompted me to make the piece in the quoted post, of the pumpkin dance, by way of a conclusion. Ink on Fabriano Medioevalis, each 95 × 64 mm.

Three small silhouette drawings in black ink. The first is of a sitting fox, looking back over its shoulder at a bird on the branch of a little bare shrub. The second has a playful-looking fox, half-crouched, tail in the air, looking at a bird which has just taken off from a branch. The third shows a fox, surprised, its head drawn slightly back, as it seems to have come upon a pumpkin on the ground, surrounded by its vines. It has a face like a carved jack-o'-lantern.

no I just assume they're like hobbyists/students etc who would like to make comics but haven't found the space for it yet, or don't feel they have the skill/time needed for the types of projects they'd like to make, lots of valid reasons
