The information contained in the link within the reposted post below is a must read if you have been trying to beat the heat in Europe this last week (which I have been doing whilst staying in France and experiencing some of the associated travel disruptions)……

The humidity around Sydney is leading to a number of interesting fungi appearing. Which in the case of this Anemone stinkhorn ( Aseroe rubra), was only overnight #gardening

Good on you. As an avid hiker I know how much training etc is required to get over a far lesser injury so that you can get back on the trail.

People need to be banned from entering those areas and only allowed in under some king of management system where they go on a supervised tour. I have just read this book (it is really eye opening around penguin tourism)

Of note the research study mentioned below (which is open access), was carried out using tweet data that was obtained from X in 2016 (prior to the milieu inexorably worsening on that site). The results speak for themselves
Summary findings from a research study looking into the nature of the messaging of tweets that were posted onto X back in 2016. The findings are indicative that some subgroups in the community are more frequently being targeted with hateful type messaging.

It is really good to see this push back coming from a number of black physicians and surgeons in the US to those vile comments that were made. I collaborate professionally with some of these individuals. They do not benefit from any so-called pass when it comes to their career progression.
Quote from US based ENT surgeon Dr Tonia L Farmer who is a black woman and sets about clarifying that no black physician receives any kind of pass when it comes to progressing up the career ladder. DEI- Definitely Earned It!

The problem with following everyone on a starter pack is that you may end up seeing content that you are not really interested in. Hence, it is worth building lists (to focus on what you really want). Also, you can mute some specific words etc-see attached
