Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Outside of streaming I will still be around streamer friend's chats and maybe, just maybe, in collabs if I feel comfortable enough. Thank you for your understanding. 050 5
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I still intend to stream again eventually, probably very occasionally on short games. But this will be only after I recover, which will take a very long time. 150 5
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Hello everyone. So after a lot of thinking I came to the realization that I'm simply not healthy enough to stream the end of Metaphor and won't for quite a while. Instead I'll record my playthrough and I'll put it on my Youtube VOD channel. 150 5
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Finally let's not forget to mention the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland being the countries allowing assisted suicide for severely mentally ill people. And regularly we have someone with severe depression dying that way. This is systemic murder. This needs to stop. 000 0
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 09/10/2026As for Canada let's still be careful. Assisted suicide as it is can still be chosen by people because society is ignoring their needs. This kind of system is highly dangerous if not properly safeguarded. The fact that they wanted to extend it to mentally ill people is a bad sign in the first place. 100 1
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Recently such a law was adopted in France and a lot of disabled people myself included are very afraid it will evolve to have less and less safeguards and be used as a way to basically genocide disabled people. We are already seeing our rights and supports being reduced. 100 1
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Better late than never I guess... it shouldn't have gotten to this in the first place. But that's great news, there won't be no new victims of a system clearly made to push to suicide the most fragile in society. Hopefully other countries with this kind of system will follow... 120 2

Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Also story heavy games are often very long so it is a commitment. And making that kind of commitment with chronic fatigue syndrome is a terrible idea, as you are noticing with my playthrough of Metaphor that I haven't been able to finish in the last 2 month or so. 010 1
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 01/10/2026So what ends up happening if I do that is that my emotions will blunt themselves and the story will feel less important to me than if I immersed myself in it alone. that's why the plan with my streams would have been to streams RPG I don't care much for in the first place. Of course, it's a mistake. 110 1
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I don't think streaming long and story heavy games is a great idea. Unless the story is kind of mid and you don;t care for it, but it's difficult to predict. If I emotionally really care about a story, I don't really want to share it on stream. I tend to keep the important stuff to myself. 140 4
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 29/09/2026That moment I realize streaming actually made me competent in sound engineering. 010 1

Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Turns out COSMIC, the environment of Pop_OS, is a stuttery mess. The version of Wayland it uses is less that optimal. I have to distrohop again... I think KDE Plasma is the only place to be for gaming especially. And I kinda miss Fedora... 231 3

Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 23/09/2026And I'm not saying that to deny the value of effort and a work well done of course. But voluntarily seeking online success is generally unrealistic, because it's whole other beast that "just" delivering perfectly executed work. 010 1
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 23/09/2026To extend on what I believe: I believe timing is of the essence when it comes to success online. I personally don't believe there is much an individual can actually do and that success mostly depends on luck, being at the right place at the right time, that kind of thing. 110 1
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 23/09/2026I sadly think even at the time of the covid it was a little late actually, as the competition was already very intense. 100 1
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Y'all don't need a course, for I know exactly how to do it and I will share it with you FOR FREE! Okay so step one: get a time machine!.. 110 1
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 23/09/2026All in all, my main issue is that I'm not compatible with parasocial culture. Spending much of my time on Twitch didn't do my ability to socialize normally much good. It's a very peculiar environment. I wonder if other streamers feel that as well. 030 3
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 22/09/2026People are telling me "please don't disappear suddenly" and sometimes I'm kind of tempted. I don't think I'll build anything consequential ever on the Internet. But in real life... maybe there is still a chance. And I say that as someone currently in the darkest depths of depression... 010 1
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Stuff that are definitely VERY bad for my mental health. It's probably the reason why I just never was able to stream easily. It's connection but it's all so stressful! Especially for someone as disabled, traumatized and isolated as myself. It makes it also kinda addictive, which is the worst part. 110 1
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 22/09/2026The Internet allows us to connect with people on the other side of the world ; people we'll never ever get to meet. I know my presence had been beneficial to some people. But the Internet is also a terrible place, nest of hypercompetitive and consumerist parasocial nightmares... 110 1
Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I think I will stop clinging on the idea of making friends online. I don't think it's very healthy, especially in the streaming world, which is highly competitive. It will lead to feeling even more lonely and stressed in the long run. Seeing someone IRL is different and for me, way much more needed. 110 1

Deb 🍊 @debshinori.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Pop_OS is based on Ubuntu which I'm not a big fan of but it ensures tons of resources online so I won't complain. It's quite plug and play and I had no difficulty reinstalling all my stuff and games (which seem to be working very nicely). Everything feels fresh and that's what I needed at the moment 000 0
