Impacts on #science of current environment are going to be far reaching. On a call with 50 colleagues, domestic and international, the international #researchers specifically said they were not planning to attend a professional conference in the US out of “concern.” Very sad. #protectscience

It was great to share some thoughts on #mindfulness in schools with Jessie Tobin and Paul Guay for the NYKids podcast! They were wonderful interviewers, and the production is top notch. Show notes ny-kids.org/nykids-deep-... Spotify link: open.spotify.com/episode/61oc...

I have a few colleagues in NSF. It’s beyond terrible. Please call your elected officials, regardless of party. If they don’t know what matters to you, they won’t know what to fight for.

"These [Dept of Ed] cuts weren’t mere tweaks; they were...a wholesale gutting of an agency responsible for federal student aid, special education oversight, civil rights enforcement, data collection, and nationwide school support." Great post with actionable steps: www.linkedin.com/pulse/americ...
1. Contact Your Representatives: Demand Congress reverse these draconian cuts.

2. Share Your Stories: If you have benefited from Pell Grants, student loan programs, special education services, or civil rights protections, make your voice heard.

3. Rally Your Community: Organize town halls, attend school board meetings, and challenge elected officials who stand idle.

4. Use Social Media: Amplify the message with hashtags like #SaveOurSchools, #DefendEducation, and #KidsNotCuts.

"Either way, these cuts to federal funding threaten to cause enormous economic damage as well, especially in the states where these universities are located. In many states, including Alabama, Pennsylvania, and Missouri, an academic medical research center is the largest employer."
