Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 23hLoved the exhibition on the history of a local photographer at Bellingham Heritage Centre To think what we can do with just a phone now with excellent results! I do love the manual that actually shows a woman with a camera!! 051
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 23hYou are right! I visited there last year. Many thx! 010

Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 06/10/2026What I meant was that seen as one linked string of symbols they didn’t represent a number. But of course, seen as three separate numbers it would make sense! Sorry, my mistake. I was being a bit obtuse! 120
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I’m just sorting some photos and I came across this one from Pittenweem Anstruther. I’ve taken so many photos recently that I’ve not really looked at them all properly. I’m really moved by the incredibly mournful carving of the angel’s face. What skill the stone mason had! 1141
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I’ve no idea! It isn’t a Roman numeral. Very odd!! 110
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Do any of my fellow church crawlers have any idea what this carving means? It is in the porch wall of a very old church in Simonburn Northumberland. It’s not Roman numerals. 552
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 05/10/2026It’s currently awful weather so I’m planning a road trip/churchcrawl for tomorrow! Will be researching later! 110
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 05/10/2026It was a fantastic find as i strolled around. It’s quite big. A magnificent memorial. 000
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I once went to an AmDram of Macbeth. In the scene where one of the actors says something like “ I bring you the head of Macduff” he threw a sack at him which clearly contained a football and bounced past him into the wings! 220

The detail and style are wonderful. I’ve found a photo and some more info. It was his first TT and he promised not to take any risks. 1476

Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I’m quite cross. There was a headstone in my local church that looked like glass but I’m pretty sure I didn’t take a photo A river walk tomorrow so don’t think I’ll be coming across a grave ( hopefully)… 110
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 02/10/2026#31DaysOfGraves Day2 urns @bookscraiccake.bsky.social I found one when we stopped at a church today!!! 2170

Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I found that photo by typing in “Doctor Who” in my FB search by the way 🙃 010
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I’ve also noted that there seem to be trends both in certain eras, eg Victorian or even within individual churchyards. Eg last week I noticed right away that one churchyard had no angels 😳. But one of my locals is like the statues in Doctor Who! 110
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I usually manage a relevant word to stick in a search on FB where I post loads of pics. I think urns are so ‘ordinary’ to me now that I don’t bother photographing them! Oops! 110
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 02/10/2026My g grandad was a German refugee. His son,my grandad was a royal marine for 12 years and died on his 40th birthday in WW1. His youngest son died at Alamein but #Braverman thinks they weren’t English? They were white though, so... ? Maybe they will pass her test? Or maybe even I’m not English. 1110
Debbie Cameron @debsadelight.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Fantastic illustrations from a 1959 House and Gardens article “A Three Year Rotation Plan for your kitchen garden.” The recipe for the ‘exotic” courgette says peel, deseed and cook for 3/4 hour 🤨 151
