Agree, there was no character development whatsoever, I was not invested at all. I did enjoy Evil Dead Rise, but the newer entries are desperately lacking the cheeky dark humor of the Raimi directed films.

I love it, but was terrified of it at first, had to have a guy from our propane supplier come out to give me instructions on how to use it. (Had never used a propane stove and was convinced I was going to explode something.) It's an O'Keefe & Merritt, from around 1920.

The Irish Folk Tale book from 1972 (I posted about earlier today coincidentally) initiated my love of folk horror at 11 years old. A Christmas gift from my Irish Gran. I just found a copy of the same edition and will be re-reading it this weekend too. ✌️🖤

Tracked down a copy of a book my (Irish) Grandma gifted me when I was 11. (1973) THIS this book started me on my lifelong love of horror. Published in 1972, Great Folk Tales of Old Ireland. The inside back cover calls them 'charming' stories, but they were scary as hell for an 11yo. Same edition!!
