In the next five weeks, your anxiety is a profit-maximizing opportunity for media companies. As their audiences melt away and AI chatbots steal their content to serve to users who no longer visit their news sites, don't convert your fear into revenue by giving these bad actors your attention.

Two young men stopped where a group of us has been protesting. They wanted to take a picture of themselves with one of our signs, telling us that they have to work each weekend, but they honk every time they pass. They thanked us for being there. Cautious optimism serves as our shield and salve.

Billionaires write ever-larger checks to purchase misleading advertising and pay for a last-minute blitz of hourly workers to stuff campaign literature into mailboxes and door jams. Trying to win an election by buying votes may have worked in the past, but it won’t work in 2026. Persist to resist!

Republicans understand the peril they face on the issues of data centers, Flock cameras, and the Iran war. Trump thanks tech oligarchs and insults concerned citizens who oppose them. Opposition to data centers is global. The same concerns exist: energy prices, land use, tax treatment and water.

Stay focused, calm, determined. Do not seek things to worry about. Do more. Worry less. A wave is coming. How big it is will be is up to us. Trump is caught in a karmic-retribution cycle. If the media takes up the “counter-narrative” that the hoped-for “blue wave” is in doubt, ignore the chatter.

Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar released an ad saying Trump’s immigration crackdown had “gone too far.” Farm-state Republicans in competitive races revolted after Trump paused tariffs on foreign beef. Across the midterm map, Republicans are standing apart from Trump to keep their majorities in Congress.

The measure of protest’s success is not how many protesters show up on a given day. It's how many hearts and minds the protesters touch by being willing to serve as examples of courage and resistance in the face of emerging authoritarianism. The Constitution will prevail. Trump will look ridiculous.

It's possible that once our collective early vote campaigns kick in we could see the early vote surge to well over 40% of the total vote, something that will without question drive weeks of stories of people voting early in record numbers, something that is a central goal of our early vote efforts.

A.I. comes with climate-altering baggage. It takes a great deal of energy to run data centers that support the technology. Electricity use by them surged 50 percent last year. Greenhouse gas went up into the atmosphere. By 2030, 3x the electricity of Nigeria, Pakistan and Bangladesh will be used.

Anxious to see regime change? Protest is not all on your shoulders. You are an example to others looking for inspiration and courage. You will never know when it will inspire someone, and we will not find the “tipping point” unless we continue to resist every day in the face of uncertain odds.

Benjamin Franklin A free people show that they are so by their freedom of speech. On Friday, Trump threatened to ban MS NOW, CNN, and Politico from the White House. His threat to ban them from press briefings will not stand. He lost this issue in two prior iterations, and a third loss is on appeal.

Heather Cox Richardson’s post, which discusses with great foreboding an article by Judge Luttig, frightened many. It set off a wave of defeatism about circumstances that may never come to pass. If they do, they have legal remedies. And they don’t factor in…us! Our goal remains the same. Vote!

Adam Schiff's office uncovered where the $ behind the banners of Trump's face now hanging on federal buildings across Washington came from. $114,000 from FAA. $39,000 from Interior. A third check from Labor. Congress long ago outlawed spending taxpayer dollars on propaganda and self-aggrandizement.

Be careful not to fall into the trap of predicting inevitable defeat. While it may mediate fears or protect against disappointment, if we tell activists that whatever we do is pointless because Trump will declare martial law or Johnson will stage a legislative coup, they may believe us and give up.

Embedded within the data center issue are concerns over climate change, water shortages, and AI threats to employment. And common to data centers and Flock cameras is alarm about the degree to which a handful of tech oligarchs are controlling the lives and futures of the next generation.

We’ll have to do this ourselves…when we have won…media pundits will explain that it was the economy, the price of gas, or focus-group messaging that was responsible for the Democratic victory. But we will know that it was the hard work of the grassroots movement that saved democracy—again. R.Hubbell

What is most astonishing about the nation’s economic and military problems is they are entirely self-inflicted at the whim of one man. On 10/19/24, a month before Trump was reelected, The Economist called the American economy the envy of the world that has left other rich countries in the dust.

The most important part of the 2026 campaign is receiving almost no attention from the media: the outreach by grassroots volunteers to inform and mobilize voters. Work is being done by hundreds of thousands of volunteers across the nation, a phenomenon not being matched by the opposition.

From the very first day of the terrorist attacks on 9/11, Trump has lied about the tragedy. He continues to do so today, and in doing so, he desecrates the memory of the victims and claims for himself the valor of the first responders. Promising voters $5 per vote for him is an impeachable offense.

Have confidence that we are on the winning path. Know that Republicans are more panicked than Democrats. Act like we are the party that is winning—because we are! That does not mean we take anything for granted; it does mean we weather disappointments and surprises without losing focus on our task.

Former president Joe Biden had a different message for the country on Labor Day: “The middle class built America. Unions built the middle class. To every worker who’s ever punched a clock, worked a double, or walked a line for fair wages: thank you. This country runs in large part because of you.”

Vote on Day 1 if you can; in person if your state allows; in a drop box. Last choice is by mail. Voting early does two things: it clears the voter list, so campaigns can focus on people who haven’t voted. Also, it makes it harder for the other side to claim cheating from late ballots and counting.

President Trump’s promises to restore fiscal order and reduce the amount of America’s debt burden have been undercut by spending on the Iran war, tax cuts and tariff refunds. Three issues speak to younger voters: AI data centers, Flock cameras, and the Iran war. It's time for us all to take action.

Trump’s Electoral College victory in 2024 could have been reversed by as few as 230,000 votes in three swing states. If Navigator’s findings are accurate, Trump is losing double-digit support among two of his most important cohorts: young men and independents. Why? U.S. Debt Hits $40 Trillion, etc.

News reports tie the lack of supplies on the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln to Iran’s damaging strike on the only U.S. naval base in the Middle East, known as Naval Support Activity Bahrain, in the first weeks of the war. Trump downplayed conditions on board, rightfully infuriating the sailors' families.

In a change election it's important that Democrats be seen as changing too. The perception that we are changing will make us more appealing, more likely to win in November. The Republican strategy is not to change policies,. It’s change the maps, the rules, because that’s the only way they can win.

We have every reason to be hopeful, but no reason to be complacent. Keep that thought top of mind as the media and GOP operatives try to tell us that the Democratic Party is in disarray because its primary voters are signaling a strong desire for change—a very bad message for Trump and the GOP.

We engage in protests never knowing the full impact of our actions. By standing on a corner or overpass with signs, we lead by example for hundreds or thousands of people. When photos like these are seen by 100,000+, people take inspiration from the fact that we as protesters refuse to surrender.
