Quite incredible to watch the Chancellor of the Exchequer state that there's nothing he can do to help with the price shocks. Just decouple electricity prices from gas prices. Make green electricity cheaper, and you'd drive investment in renewables, ASHP's and EV's.

Today marks 100 days since Colin Ferguson was elected Leader of #Newcastle City Council. Newcastle Liberal Democrats promised you would see a difference in your communities through your front window and we've got started doing exactly that. 100 days in, plenty done, plenty more to do.
Image of Newcastle City Council Cabinet with overlaid text:

100 Days. Getting on with what matters most to residents. Reopened cafés in our parks. More local services staff into weedkilling duties. Backed the end of the late night levy. Started work on new and improved playgrounds. Invested £1 million in pothole repairs. Committed £1 million to housing repairs. Plenty more done, plenty more to do! We seem to have ruffled a few feathers with our Reform UK opposition by introducing red routes across Newcastle. Reform UK Opposition Leader Cllr Rutherford is seemingly furious about Newcastle's new red routes. But there's an interesting contradiction in his comments.
A screen shot of Cllr Steven Rutherford's facebook post. Which has a link to the BBC News article which states 'newcastle red route trials to tackle 'dangerous' parking. An 18 month trial of major parking restrictions on some Ne...'

With the text 'Liberal Democrats making it even tougher for motorists in Newcastle, with more fines hitting people that are already struggling, first the clean air zone and now this'.
