Or at least the fate of the MIA shop keeps. Again, the way Aziraphale and Crowley were approached does feel sloppy, and again realistically it was possible a short hand situation (like you said current climate), still I do feel curious why certain actions were chosen. If anything it gets me thinking

I guess also for me, there's the meta element. We have done so much with them that I accept fanfic just as much as canon material. The line between fanfic and official writing isn't always straightforward in terms of canon. (4)

I'm in the same group that feels like 6 episodes would've made the ending a little more 'acceptable', but at the same time I've seen a lot of series/movies where reincarnation/alternate universes is used as a happy/bittersweet ending. (2)

That being said, I am not going to be trading in the OLD universe either. I like this universe. It's cosy, dependable and talk about ROOMY! You can fit all kinds of stuff in here. The eldritch horrors learning how to be human, the biblical lore but FUNNY and the oh so juicy religious trauma! Mr. Brown with his disturbingly toned glutes alone is worth keeping it around. (Oh, that's not canon? That's just me being a weirdo? Huh.)
Plus Aziraphale is PEAK. He's Aura. He's SKIBIDIokay I don't know cool kid lingo.

a comic that originally showed the devil knocking on a door, carrying "bad books" and "immodest pictures", as the guy from the Sickos meme looks out the window saying "Yes... ha ha ha... YES!". I've drawn over them to make the devil into Crowley, and the Sicko into Aziraphale, sticking close to the original style for each. I've also labeled the house as "Bookshop", and added chocolate to the items Crowley is carrying. The text reads "All of us face temptations every day of our lives."

Crowley is enjoying a relaxing day on the bench, scrolling on his phone. Suddenly his shoulders are gently tapped by wings.
Yeeting his phone he is entranced by a dapper winged aziraphale.

Aziraphale proceeds to perform the Dance of Devotion. A way angels would show their affection to each other before a jealous god forbade it.

The end of the dance is a proposal to be devout to their beloved IF the object of their affection accepts.
Aziraphale starts to flop sweat because his track record at winning isn’t that grand.

Much to his delight Crowley was ready to propose in the human way.
