What make's this even more ridiculous is 94% of the working population makes less than 185,000 per year. This is an easy win. But the reason neither political party in congress has not ever pushed it, is because them and their big money donors earnings exceed or greatly exceed $185K.

Just saw a group of about 12 white Michigan voters interviewed by MsNow who voted previously for Trump. All were distressed. They were asked if they were voting for Rodgers or El-Sayed. 40% said El-Sayed, 2 for Rogers, the rest undecided. The analogy: I'm in extreme pain but refuse medical care.
