Starlink is a DoD project. Musk wouldn't have gotten the contract without giving them a kill switch. Whilst it's possible Musk instructed his staff to throttle down the connection that order would have come from the Pentagon. Or they might have done it on their own with no consultation with Musk.

You can make an excellent case that in a show with so many top performances, Michael Pitt's Jimmy Darmody is Boardwalk Empire's best. Tough. Cynical. Flawed. Honorable. Such a complex character. For various reasons Pitt's career stalled in the subsequent years. A shame because he's a great actor.

Blair Witch wasn't the first "found footage" movie. But it was the most successful. Unfortunately, it spawned a cavalcade of knock-offs most of which weren't very good causing a degree of prejudice against the format. But "found footage" isn't inherently bad. You just need the right execution.

Whilst I'm loathe to defend Musk - I doubt whether it was his call. The Starlink contract was almost certainly granted contingent upon Pentagon control. It's just how the defense establishment works in the US. Same deal with all of the social media platforms, search engines etc.
