Enjoyed Coyote vs Acme. Quite why Warner Brothers figured they couldn't make money with these beloved characters for many years remains a total mystery. The film would benefit from a better actor than John Cena as the villain but the positives outweigh the problems. Who could hate on Wile E Coyote?

I love Nicolas Winding Refn's movies. Particularly Drive, Valhalla Rising and Neon Demon, which is one of the most visually arresting films of any era. But I swear, an entire geologic age passed during the opening shot of Too Old to Die Young. By the end I was almost too old to remember any of it. 🤔

On to Italian exploitation - Orgasmo (a.k.a. Paranoia) - 1969 starring Carroll Baker & directed by Umberto Lenzi. One of the first films to draw an X rating in the US. When you peel away the sex it's pretty much a roadmap for how to swindle an inheritance out of a naïve widow. Still happens today.

In terms of pure arm talent I'd put prime Aaron Rodgers right at the top of NFL QBs. He could get the ball to wherever it needed to go precisely & over huge distances. But I think it's safe to say A-Aron is also a lousy human being. Poor Shailene Woodley didn't deserve him dumping on her like that.

Bruno Ganz's performance in the movie "Downfall" was rightly celebrated as masterful. But the BEST take on Hitler I've seen - by a long, long way - is Anthony Hopkins' Emmy Award winning performance in the made-for-TV "The Bunker" (1981). What makes it so terrifying is how "human" he seems. 😱
