GOLD RUSH As widely reported, ex-CIA official David Rush yesterday pleaded guilty in a plea deal. He signed a 15-page Statement of Facts, found at the link. A summary of how Rush created and exploited the facade of a Special Access Program is on pages 5-7. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

INVISIBLE CONSTELLATION 8 months after Trump's Truth Social UFO order, 17 months since Marco Rubio got authority over the National Security Council, no sign of the supposed White House/NSC "Immaculate Constellation" program claimed by Matthew Brown & David Grusch or its claimed trove of UFO images.

11) Here is a video clip of Secretary Rubio's remarks, from The Katie Miller Podcast of August 11, 2026. Katie Miller is the wife of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

10) Someone now may postulate that either the National Security Advisor or the anonymous "UAP expert" were misinformed, or that one or both were mischaracterizing what they claimed to know, but I think that these cannot both be accurate representations of the President’s perception and intentions.
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
9) This picture of the President knowing of government-held evidence of "non-human technology," coupled with ambivalence, is at odds with Rubio's "I assure you," full-bore disclosure scenario, which he offered as a counter to what he presented as a misperception that "we're covering something up."
110
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
8) So: Greenberg understood based on his "UAP expert" that President Trump "knows more about it than people think he does," that the President believes the government has evidence of "non-human technology," that he wants the truth to come out, but also that he is "disturbed about what to do."
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
7) In an August 11, 2026 interview, Rubio said, "... people do believe we're covering something up. I assure you, in this administration, if we knew, the President would be all over it-- like, there would be a prime-time address, he'd be showing the pictures and the videos."
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
6) Personally, I would place more weight on the words of Marco Rubio, who is known to have a longstanding interest in UAP matters, and who interacts very frequently with the President both as National Security Advisor (overseeing the National Security Council staff) and as Secretary of State.
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
5) So, we are presented with a characterization of the President’s purported knowledge and concerns, based on statements by unknown persons, and filtered through an unknown "UAP expert" whose personal presuppositions and degree of objectivity can only be guessed at by the reader.
120
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
4) Moreover, the "UAP expert" claimed to have had "discussions" not with President Trump, but with "people with direct knowledge of Trump's concerns..." Those people are also not identified, not even as to the general nature or extent of their purported access to the President.
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
3) Personally, I am inclined to downgrade the credibility of any source who would describe himself as a "UAP expert" or agree to be so characterized, at least without substantial additional language explaining the scope of and basis for the claim.
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
2) Greenberg agreed to grant anonymity to that source, which is fine in principle under many circumstances. But the criteria by which Greenberg (who apparently has never before published on UAP matters) would confer such a designation or agree to it are entirely unclear;

"UAP EXPERT," RUBIO & TRUMP'S UFO "CONCERNS" I have little confidence in the descriptions of President Trump's purported UAP-related "concerns" which journalist Ilan Greenberg attributed to an unnamed "UAP expert" in the Sept. 26, 2026 POLITICO article linked, www.politico.com/news/magazin...
politico.com
Trump Promised the Truth About UFOs. These Scientists Are Waiting.
The president named a science council to review the government’s data. What's taking so long?

D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
13) "[Wendt said]... The bad news, however, is if the council does get its data and announces the presence of alien intelligence on earth, Wendt believes it’s almost certainly the end of civilization as we know it.... Wendt would like to see a 25-to-50-year news blackout to prepare the public."
000
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
12) A provocative alternative viewpoint is expressed in quotes that Greenberg obtained from Ohio State University Prof. Alexander Wendt, author of the forthcoming book "The Last Humans: UFOs, Global Security, and the Threat to State Sovereignty": "'The good news is they’re not going to get any data'
110
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
11) the Trump Administration remains to be seen--but if it is not really happening, I think it is nonsense to blame it on entrenched bureaucrat-gatekeepers whom the President and his cabinet secretaries are mysteriously powerless to identify and fire or move out of the way.
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
10) But I also fully support the full exercise of lawful presidential authorities, which on national security matters are extensive, to get to the bottom of UFO-crash and "legacy program" stories and disclose the results. Whether any such full exercise is underway now within
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
9) As my regular readers know, personally I am generally skeptical of captive-alien-tech claims; I regard a number of the best-known UFO-crash tales as thoroughly discredited hoaxes, and a number of the current crop of "whistleblowers" as credulous, deluded, or straight-up LAPRing phonies.
110
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
8) Given those connections, it does seem odd to me that Greenberg did not include at least a summary of the captive-alien-tech claims.
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
7) A number of members of the House of Representatives have associated themselves with some of those captive-alien-tech claims, and prodding from that group of lawmakers has been a significant factor leading to the Trump Administration's current UAP-related initiatives.
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
6) Also absent are the names of any of the persons publicly claiming personal knowledge regarding government possession of alien technology, including David Grusch, who employed the statutory whistleblower process, and an array of self-styled whistleblowers who have surfaced since 2023.
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
5) At least five members of Prof. Loeb's 20-member UAPSAC have publicly promoted or lent credence to some such stories; two of those UAPSAC members were quoted in the article, but neither was quoted about their captive-alien-tech beliefs.
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
4) However, I noticed Greenberg avoided mention of high-profile claims that the government (or affiliated contractors) possess not only "raw data," "files," "records," or "evidence" on anomalous devices operating on this planet, but also actual nonhuman craft/devices, exotic debris, and/or bodies.
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
3) The article contains substantial new material on those matters, including interesting quotes from spokespersons for the White House, the Pentagon, and the CIA.
100
D. Dean Johnson @ddeanjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
2) The focus of the article is Prof. Avi Loeb's UAP Science Advisory Council (UAPSAC) and its role in the complicated emerging architecture of the Trump Administration's "UAP transparency" enterprise.

4) As far as I know, Grusch has not publicly released the documents that the DoW released to him during the earlier stages of the litigation, as described in earlier Joint Status reports. Some of those documents were also released in incomplete form to me and others through separate FOIA requests.

UPDATE ON DAVID GRUSCH'S FOIA LAWSUIT A 🧵 1) In David Grusch's FOIA lawsuit against the Dept of War, relating to his claim the USAF filed a Espionage Act complaint against him in 2023, the parties now agree the remaining disagreement is whether the DoW adequately searched for responsive records.
