I check my voter registration once a quarter. Probably because i couldn't vote for so long (felon.) Here is your periodic reminder that "felons can't ever vote" is untrue in the majority of states. If you are a felon and want to vote, check your state laws. Outside of KY/IA restoration is possible.

Gone are the mass raids and militarized metro operations. Gone are the pomp and pageantry. But ICE arrests have hit record levels. ICE operations are no longer concentrated in large American cities. Immigration enforcement officials are also working in suburban and rural areas, all across the US.

These two books are an enjoyable and illuminating way to engage with some alternative world stories that are also very true to life and very funny.l Get them while they're cheap, if you doubt. And then tell someone else. If you miss the sale, check your library or get a copy somehow

gratitude and respect to the many crews out there clearing up. The damage from last night's storm was severe, and crews clearly prioritized danger -- roadways, wiring, etc. -- for the earliest work and have been at it all day long. Much appreciated!
