What's really crazy is, he told everyone while campaigning that he was going to do it, the inevitable inflationary consequences were obvious to everyone (or should have been), and he still got elected by people who were supposedly upset about inflation. Make it make sense!

Basically seems to boil down to: we need these systems to be honest. Problem is to an LLM "honesty" is just a word. All they know is accuracy, not the same thing. Baha'is have a saying, "Truthfulness is the root of all human virtue". AI has no such concept so how can we expect it to be in alignment?

What I’ll remember most is how much he loved war; and that he saw early on that trump was unfit for office and was briefly willing to say so, but despite several opportunities to do the right thing, repeatedly snapped back in line out of political expediency.
